I bought all the albums of the original line up and saw them live five times. After that, zilch.

I went to the end of the road tour about 5 years ago, nothing since then, I’m a very casual fan. I have the original albums, that’s it.

You're asking an impossible question for me to answer. I have seen them 36 times (7 of those on the EOTR Tour). Music, instruments, shirts, merch etc... Impossible to even guess.

I actually had one of those KISS credit cards back in the '90s.
So they made who-knows-how-much money off me... plus interest.

Re: How much money have you spent on KI$$ by the decade?
My kiss spending is an exact match. Bought every release in the 70s and a lot of shirts. 80s Crazy Nights CD. Beyond that, not a penny. I still enjoy and follow them as a band. It is amazing they’ve stayed around so long. On the end of the road, I think it’s sad no Ace, Peter, or Bruce but Gene and Paul drive that bus.AlexVonHaig wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2023 9:39 am Concerts, albums, merch, caskets, anything? I bought tix to the 2000 Farewell tour just so I could say I did. That's it...

Re: How much money have you spent on KI$$ by the decade?
The last Kiss item I bought was a Double Platinum cassette in '89 to throw on in the van otw to gigs. Before that it was the Unmasked vinyl when it was new. The parents paid for all the ''70s records up to Dynasty. Worshipped them back then, had free tickets from a radio station for a show here a few years ago but didn't even bother to go, that's how much they turned me off from them.

I saw them late 00’s but it was part of a festival, so I guess that was the last time.

70s. Some. A respectable amount
80s Boatloads
90s A f*ck ton more
00s An impressive amount less
10s A f*ck ton less
20s $0
I mostly blew coin on music and music related merch. I never got real heavy into the cult Trekkie convention side of it.

90s: Maybe $5? Yard sale purchase of "Smashes..."
00s: I have to guess at this. Sonic Boom CD and concert tickets...maybe $220? I know I was in the stands at an outdoor show, so tickets had to have been at least $100 each.
10s: Nada. I think. I know I at least thought about buying Monster based on Sonic Boom being pretty ok. I have no memory of *any* songs on it, so if I did, I was disappointed.

Re: How much money have you spent on KI$$ by the decade?
Not too much overall. Older brothers and family friends had all the albums so growing up in the early 80s I didn't spend a thing. A lot of those records became hand me downs that I still have. Probably my first big KISS purchase was Reunion Tour tickets. Then tix for the Psycho Circus and First Farewell tours. Poison tour was a free extra ticket. Only thing I've spent on in the last 10 years or so has been tracking down an original vinyl pressing of Alive, and the Creatures 40th anniversary double CD.

I can't remember amounts (it wasn't huge), but I was stupid enough to have bought the life-sized cardboard cutouts, tons of action figures, masks, condoms, tee shirts that I was too embarrassed to wear more than once because the designs looked horrible. Had the credit card and checks too. Dumbass.

Yup. KISS Condoms were a thing. I think Spencer's had them back in the day. Didn't need them as I was married, so the package was "on display" in my home office. This would have been around 1994+. By the Rock the Nation tour, I did a 180. Some of that stuff has been in boxes in my basement for 20-some years.

Re: How much money have you spent on KI$$ by the decade?
Wow. Not being into merch saved me a lot of money... and embarrassment. I did want a gold/platinum record or a pinball machine but neither were really available in 80s/90s Sweden.TooOldToCare wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2023 7:10 am I can't remember amounts (it wasn't huge), but I was stupid enough to have bought the life-sized cardboard cutouts, tons of action figures, masks, condoms, tee shirts that I was too embarrassed to wear more than once because the designs looked horrible. My vinyl collection wasn't that expensive, got almost all albums before 1990, original US pressings with relevant inserts up to CotN, and then random Euro pressings up to HITS for $3-5 each.

Re: How much money have you spent on KI$$ by the decade?
I can't remember the exact cost or dates so I'll 'guess-timate'. It was probably less, a candy bar was 15 cents back then lol.
1975 - $5 for a giant ass KISS poster. I got a Pink Floyd one too, must have been from one of the local record stores (the good ones carried bongs and smoking accessories too haha)
1976 - $5 for Destroyer. I hated the album and snapped it in half after a couple of listens (I think it might have been 'Beth' that put me over the edge) I had listened to 'Alive!' at a buddy's house and it sounded good, so it was pretty disappointing. Kept the poster up though, it was pretty cool with fire and demons, stuff that parents didn't like.
So maybe $10 or less total.
If I had kept these they would probably be worth 1000 times that now, but who does that?

Re: How much money have you spent on KI$$ by the decade?
Tuff co-wrote a song with Gene Simmons at his house in early 1992 called "One Way Hell Ride".
He also jammed with us in our lock-out room... on that song... too bad I didn't film that, would have been a good one for the archives!
At his house he gave us Jolly Good soda, no charge... and we watched him eat left-over Domino's Pizza... he didn't offer us any of that.
Oddly, the Kiss song "Domino" was out at the same time, coincidence?
We should have charged him for a Tuff meet & greet, but we felt sorry for him and let it slide.
As for the question, I bought a ticket to the "Lick It Up" tour, Feb. 1984. my first ever concert... lost track after that, but in reality, not much!
