Heartbreaker used to be one of my favorite albums of all-time, but after reading that shit about him sexting the 15yr old I just can't listen anymore. Hypocritical I know since all my favorite bands have done worse, but at least they can use the lame old " things were different back then in the '70s" excuse because tbh, they were. I’ve said it on here before but early Ryan and Whiskeytown are amazing. But he would be near the top of my list of bands that have completely lost the ability to create a song. I’m not going through 4 albums looking for the maybe 1 or 2 good songs. If anybody wants to suggest the better ones, I will give them a listen.

I'll admit I've enjoyed his take on the Oasis and Springsteen albums ove the last couple years. He needs someone to tell him to just stop for a while until he can release something good again.

I've found that a lot of his stuff are growers. It takes time to realize their merits.

I've liked a song here and there but the last album of his I loved was probably Jacksonville City Nights, almost 20 years ago.

I really liked the song "I'm Sorry and I Love You" from just after the dick-wagging allegations.

JCN and Cold Roses were great albums ( both came out in 2005 ) but you are right, things went downhill pretty fast from those albums on.

I agree, I’m also a big fan of the 1989 cover album.

As I type I should have been lining up to see him in Melbourne, but he cancelled the tour.
Sadly, I think he’s not long for this world.
