Yeah, the music is so-so, but it's almost worth the price of admission, just to see 'Arry running around on the stage, mouthing the words - just as he does in his main band. Big stage, small stage Arry's Arry!

Re: Steve Harris British Lion club tour
I was there on the opening night. Yes was a great experience.
Pedantic point: it's not even quite a club tour, it's more like a pub tour. The venue on the first night was sold out with about 150 fans attending. They are doing three nights there though.
Support act is Tony Moore who was first keyboard player in Maiden, 1977-78, doing a one man show some keys, some guitars, vocals.
In attendance were some of the band Gypsy's Kiss, which was Steve Harris' first ever band. In fact the drummer was also Maiden's first manager too.

Indeed. Wonder if he also enjoyed playing clubs when Maiden had to do it in the 90s.El Vampiro Blanco wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 3:43 am I do think it's cool Steve Harris apparently likes playing live so much he is is doing a pub tour.
Some bands seemed to hate it, but then it was their main job and British Lion is just for fun for him.

On the last Maiden tour he was doing Shittish Lion dates in South America on the off-nights. Not sure why he bothers. That band is horrible.

Flying that band over to south America must be a money losing proposition.

Saw the setlist for this - is Harris a Christian? Lot of the songs had a blatant religious theme.

Oh god, Tony Moore prog concept album with clicky clacky bass intros and three guitar solos.
