Want is Slaughter’s best song?

Post by ParaDime77 »

Looking back, this band was red hot for a stretch. The debut was pushed hard as the band was the opener for Winger and Slaughter. I saw the “Stick It To Ya” tour as a young teen, and these dudes were white hot, especially the Blas Elias glow in the dark drum gimmick. People ate it up.

Being said, which Slaughter song do you feel is the best?

Agreed, although I forgot they made a video for it. Seems like all the other videos from the debut were in higher rotation even though Mad About You didn't chart

Desperately a close second

"Up All Night", with "Eye to Eye" in a close second and "Fly to the Angels" in third. That's a killer threesome there.

The Great White debut doesn't even make top 5 of their catalog. Moving in a more faux blues/accessible direction, was the smartest thing they could have done.

Agree! With "Mad About You" or "The Wild Life" as runner-ups.

"Up All Night" is such a great, catchy song. It just sounds like a single.

On paper it shouldn't work though. It's not something you could play on acoustic guitar. They just knocked it out of the park with the production.

Whole album is full of catchy, uptempo songs. "Desperately" should've been a single. Always found "Fly to the Angels" a bit boring. Not bad. Just boring. I'm never itching to hear it.

Another vote for Desperately but pretty much every song on that first album is awesome.

I liked the ballads on The Wild Life.

And I like Fear No Evil in general but that first album nailed it.
