I can't think of anything at the moment, usually my problem is the other way around.

I know some of Bob Seger's early 70s material isn't out there, like Back in '72, which is notable for having the studio version of Turn the Page and Rosalie.

I just wish the ones that were put out on CD didn't have 5 lame bonus tracks. At least do a good job with the remaster.

All Charly McClain albums, except for the last two. They are available as bootlegs, but that doesn't really count.

Serene's album featuring two early Scorpions guys is quite good and totally obscure.

Iron Maiden- Live + One. Greek album including tracks from Maiden Japan, Women in Uniform 12" and a Japanese release also called Live + One.

Kingpin - Welcome to Bop City is technically not available on cd, the Shotgun Messiah s/t is the same album but remixed and with overdubs. Same thing with Pretty Maids s/t debut, only the remix on cd.

Those tracks aren't B Sides on one of the remastered CDs? Maiden Japan was definitely on the Killers reissue, amongst other places.

Death Sentance - Not A Pretty Sight and Stop Killing Me. But we’re pre c.d releases from this Vancouver punk band. I still have my old cassettes but nothing to play them on. They were a staple on the scene on the West Coast for years. Alway a good show and even better after party.

For real. And the bonus tracks are usually some horrible sounding live versions. 👎

Do you mean old albums that are no longer in print on CD?

Or any album released on vinyl but not on CD?

Not 100% sure about these, but only ones that come to mind.

The Payolas - Hammer on a Drum

Pipers First 2 albums.
I think they were released in Japan, but turned out to be CD-R's.

Buck Dharma's Flat Out wasn't available for a very long time, but might have been released in cd format recently.

The Waitresses - Bruiseology

Their second LP only released on vinyl and cassette. It wasn’t a hit record but I really like it. I was hoping that it would be put out on CD sometime but highly unlikely at this point.

Broadcast- Heartbeat Paradise (Eagles-ish Finnish band, go figure)
Dave Lindholm- Moderni Hiljainen Musiikki (Sort of like Finnish Neil Young, who's made about 50 records, but this is the only one not on cd.)
Asko Raivio & Karisma (obscure Finnish record)

One or two tracks are unique to this release. Sanctuary (live) and I've Got the Fire (live) are from different shows.

I’ve got the opposite problem, my brothers old band released three cds.
A local young bloke started releasing hometown bands cds on vinyl a year or three ago.
I have the first and last releases on vinyl, but the master tapes for the middle cd have disappeared.

I'm almost 100% certain they were on the Castle reissues.

Has Neil Young's "Cinnamon Girl" 45 - the one with Young and Danny Whitten's vocals switched up - ever appeared on CD?

Aside from very obscure, indie, or unsuccessful acts and a lot of older compilation albums from the 60s and 70s, I would guess that most LPs got CD releases at some point.

I think the bigger issue for listeners has to do with what is no longer easy to find on CD, and also not available on Spotify or Apple.

The Payolas - Hammer on a Drum
The next album - where they were now called Paul Hyde and the Payola$ - didn't get a CD release either. A&M dropped them after this one, but didn't have a problem with putting out a post-Payola$ "greatest hits" on CD a few years later.

ZZ Top's First Album, Rio Grande Mud, Tres Hombres, Fandango, and Tejas were all unavailable on CD in their original mixes for decades. When those albums came out on CD in 1987, the band went in and remixed them, taking classic stripped down blues songs and trying to add horrible canned digital reverb (to sound like their 80's sythesizer and drum machine based output) and basically butchered their back catalog. For decades, new fans who didn't have access to the original vinyl had no clue how the band originally sounded, and I imagine that severely impacted their status, many people to this day don't realize how great they were before Eliminator changed their sound. In more recent times the albums slowly started getting restored (in 2006, Tres Hombres and Fandango got the original mixes issued on CD, and eventually a 10 CD box set got issued with original mixes also) and also some japanese imports issued them as standalone releases. But it's hard to know which version you're buying unless you do a lot of research.

Bon Jovi s/t - the 40th Anniversary remaster did not get a cd release yet, just vinyl and cassette (!!).

The latest Kiss remasters were done for streaming in 2014 and got a vinyl release a few years later but I don't think they're out on cd which is a shame as they are a massive improvement over the 1996 remasters. Hot in the Shade and Hotter than Hell almost sound like different, better recordings here.

Yeah, a bit cheating here as the earlier remasters are out on cd... just wanted to call out big bands who skip cd releases as vinyl and streaming brings in more cash.
