Cliff Williams sitting out the AC/DC tour

Post by El Vampiro Blanco »

Blabber mouth is reporting cliff Williams will not be on the forthcoming world tour.
So, assuming Phil won't make it either, it will only be Brian and Angus.
Pretty disappointing....

Not a surprise, I thought he said a while ago he retired and wasn't going to tour anymore??

Is Phil back but Cliff is out? This could easily fuck up the rhythm section again

Dave Grohl is the obvious choice as a fill in.

I could could live without Cliff, but Phil Rudd is a must for me. Guess he's been a behavioral wild card in the more recent years, which I can't see Angus putting up with.

I think Rudds problems are more on the visa side due to past legal issues.
While he actually was on tour, he never fucked up.
It's in between the tours he gets caught up in drugs and Thai hookers.

Yep. Those AC/DC bass lines are so tough.

Was really him playing the rumbling bass on Powerage or George Young, that’s what I want to know. Cause none of the other albums sound like that.

Yup, Duff is the logical choice.

And Phil Rudd isn't reliable, they should get Steven Adler instead, he doesn't smoke crack with prostitutes any more.

And if Brian goes deaf (what?), get Axl to fill in again, this time he can stand on his two legs.

Hell, I’d be stoked to see AC/DC with Duff AND Axl. That 2016 tour was unbelievable and I will never shut up about how good it was. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Top 5 easily.

At this point honestly I’m just hoping shows happen regardless of who’s in the band. Lifelong smokers in their 70s, etc. They can’t all be Keith.

Adam Bomb posted some cool shit on his social media regarding Cliff and one of his songs: https://youtu.be/hjVmDiCoTsg?si=U4jfSHee0ij8bzAI

As a life long AC/DC fan, I think this is super cool. I’m kinda amazed that rock radio never played I Want My Heavy Metal. Even the big time national rock shows with famous DJs like Alice or Dee Snider, satellite, and internet radio stations that play anything that even remotely sounds like ac/dc refuse to play it. It it was anybody else it would’ve been platinum
Imagine being a 20 year old rock fan, writing a song that was inspired by AC/DC using the chords of A C D and C, then getting the actual bass player of AC/DC to sing and play on it. It was released by Geffen Records and still not one station played it. Ever. They can all f- off. It’s still my hit song.
