You could include the entire discography and Bach would still be the correct answer

As I write this, Bach has 5 votes and Rob has 4. I think with a few more votes, Rob can pull it off and once and for all be crowned the Most Important Member Of Skid Row, a title he has so rightfully earned!

I love that I’ve frequented a message board for 20+ years where obvious questions like this are even asked and there are sure to be some who take issue with the obvious answer.

Rob Affuso really is a terrific drummer!

Whomever convinces them to swallow their pride and get back together with Baz. So many bands pretend to like each other for the money.

Poor Snake and Scotti. Can't even get a pity vote between the two of them.

Sebastian was Skid Row to many, with the others being replaceable

The real answer, though, is probably Snake, as his connection to Jon BJ was what got the producer, label, tour, and financial support to put them over

Nah, but it was him getting them a record deal and taking them out on the biggest tour of the year that broke them big. Wouldn't have happened without that...

Probably Mark Weiss, too, for officially hooking the other band members up with Bach at Mark's wedding.

Didn’t Bolan write most of the songs?
That seems pretty important

Nobody...they wouldn't have made it without Bach, and Bach wouldn't have made it without Skid Row.

Everyone screaming Bach...

So... let's Remove Bolan and Snake... fair? Bach is the end all, be all, most important figure in the band...

So....

What songs is Bach going to sing?

The Madam X or V05 catalog?

Surely it'll go Platinum, as long as he's singing, right? Why would the songs matter?

That seems to be exactly what all of the Bach loyalists continue to believe.

Or, the management? Or the best BFF buddy from that other band... I mean, what did they do? Right?

It's Bach.

If you replaced any guy in the band at the height of their career, nobody would have even noticed...except Bach.

Even now, if you brought Bach back and put it on tour as Skid Row, they would get 500% more crowd, even if you replaced every other member. Grab Phil X, Stacey Blades, Blotzer and Robbie Crane, have Bach front it, and you can put them in sheds and decent theaters.

Keep the 4 originals+any other singer and...what are they doing now? Clubs? BBQ places? Clambakes?

Bolan & Snake did, yes.

To the CEO’s point - if Bach hadn’t had that entire first (and let’s be honest, the lion’s share of the second) album’s worth of songs that Bolan & Snake wrote to sing - what would he have sung?

Skid Row were a band, like many, that was the sum of its parts.

The songs combined with Bach made them a success in '89. After '92, it wouldn't have mattered how good the songs were.

""""""""""""""'If you replaced any guy in the band at the height of their career, nobody would have even noticed...except Bach."""""""""""""""""

This is a stupid analogy, as the same would have applied had you replaced Michael Anthony in 1984, Mick Mars in 1985, Blotzer in 1987, or Steven Sweet in Warrant in 1989.

"""""""""""""""""Even now, if you brought Bach back and put it on tour as Skid Row, they would get 500% more crowd""""""""""""""""

Nope...

Not going to happen...

You think 5x the crowd shows up?

Ask yourself this... simple... how many people does Skid Row draw now?

And how many people does Bach draw solo?

Not opening for Gn'R, not on a festival, Bach or Row on their own... each band draws in the 500-750 range, occasionally more... but 1,000 is a stretch.

If Bach rejoins, huge promotion, "All original" blah, blah, blah... it goes to 1,500... and in select markets, 2,000-2,500 theaters.

But 4-5,000 people? Ain't going to happen, not close!

""""""""""""""""Bach front it, and you can put them in sheds and decent theaters. """"""""""""""

Totally delusional...

He's had a cast of "All Star" guys, for the last 20 years, this guitar guy, this bass guy, this co-writer buddy and that producer, none of it matters.

Bach hasn't drawn more than 750 people on this own, other than a handful of big home coming shows in Canada, maybe NJ area. etc..

He's played the Canyon Club venues out here, more than once, I don't think I've EVER seen it was Sold Out.

The Whisky, Vamp'd, etc... these places hold 350-400 max... he ain't packing any theater or shed! #fact

I think a Bach fronted Skids could absolutely do 2500+, maybe more with good promotion and creative advertisement.

If you got Livenation involved using it as a room/shed filling instrument like they did with this last Black Crowes reunion, pumping the fuck out of it with radio ads and billboards and shit, it would work. They could put it in the Forum (with the upper levels blocked off) and do a technical sell-out.

...and it would CERTAINLY do business in Europe and Japan.

Not sure how it would sell in Phuket.
