99 was around the advent of “Rock Never Stops” and a couple of shows on VH-1 “Where Are They Now” that featured random hair metal artists eking out a living in the lean-touring years.
Which shows, tours, clubs, theaters, bars and bowling alley’s did you watch 80’s hair metal bands play?

Motley Crue Greatest Hits Tour at Warnors Theatre in Fresno. I'm wondering if LAglamrocker was there too....

L.A. Guns @ Whisky A Go Go Jan 25 2000 Classic Lineup, Whisky pretty full. I remember staying at Tower until almost showtime. Yet another reason I hate going to the strip. Book Soup closes at 10 and you still have 2-3 crummy bands to suffer thru.
Motley Crue, Megadeth, Anthrax. Maybe 50 people in the building when Anthrax went on for a 40 min set. Place maybe 1/4 to half full for Megadeth. Then the Crue Slut song starts playing and hundreds of people coming streaming in from the backstage area.
Faster Pussycat - went to as many shows as possible including 2 at the Key Club. Never went to the 1999/2000/2001 Poison tours.

These are the three that I recall during those years:
1999 - Rock Never Stops with Ted Nugent, Night Ranger, Quiet Riot, and Slaughter - it was outdoors and I recall Kevin Dubrow holding onto his hair when a blast of wind came up.
2000 - Power to the People tour with Poison, Cinderella, Dokken, and Slaughter - first time seeing Poison; I remember they invited fans onstage during "Rock and Roll All Nite" encore.
2001 - Voices of Metal tour with Vince Neil, Ratt, Slaughter, and Vixen - billed as Ratt, but it was basically Stephen Pearcy's solo band; Stephen wasn't well-rehearsed and I recall long awkward pauses between songs.
