It was a great show and the sound was killer.

There were a lot of tickets left last week and prices got dropped quite a bit, but place was pretty darn packed and it was a fun time. Probably meant a lot to Zakk and Charlie playing their home turf and Phil went out of his way to say he’s glad he gets to actually enjoy taking it all in now unlike the old days.

“The market has spoken” indeed. After tomorrow I’ll have seen this version of the band 8x. I have not heard a single negative thing from anyone who’s actually been to any of these shows.

I was vehemently opposed when this was first announced in Summer ‘22 or whenever it was (“This is blasphemy, you can’t just put Dave and Mikey out there and call it Van Halen!”) and I’m happy to admit I was completely wrong and feel sorry for fans of the band who are too fixated with being negative to enjoy this for what it is.

I could take or leave new material but wouldn’t be opposed at all.

I'm glad this is doing well for all involved and all that enjoy it but this success just means we'll inevitably get a new album and more tours and that means less Anthrax and less BLS so it sucks for those fans. It's 8 years since the last Anthrax album and at this rate it'll be 9.
