UFO kicks all kinds of ass. Ignore the Trunk effect.

Agreed. So does "Doctor Doctor". And "Lights Out". And "Too Hot to Handle". UFO has quite a few gems in their catalog, in fact.

It is. Start here. The studio albums are spotty but this has all the good stuff.

I don't agree,
Yes, Strangers in the Night is fantastic, but all the 70's Schenker albums are great.

They have 3-4 good songs. The rest is filler. But Vinnie Moore is a great guitarist.

Strangers in the Night is the gateway drug.

Although I greatly prefer the Schenker era, the Wild the Willing and the Innocent may be the best album in terms of consistent song-to-song quality. It's a great album.

And there he is .....

Although I have to shamefully admit that I recently saw the light on Collective Soul, given your constant braying about them.
they are surprisingly consistent.

No joke. My second fave after Obsession. 24"x24" wall poster my daughter got me for my 60th last weekend. Will be framed and hung in my studio. She's a good girl...

Cool. You've heard all of their albums?

What are some of the tracks on You Are Here that you'd say are filler?

High Stakes & Dangerous Men? What are some of the filler tracks on there? Be specific. What makes them filler to you?

Oh wait, you've never actually listened to UFO and are just parroting comments you read on here like Tym? Big shock.

Collective Soul is like if plain oatmeal was a band.

I have tried to get into them, and I kind of agree with Demon.
I don’t know what it is exactly, singing, or the production I just can’t seem to get into them

Yeah, I really just like Schenker's playing.

Just busting DF's balls for saying the same shit in every thread, CLEARLY talking out of his ass about music he's never heard.

Phil Mogg was a good singer but a great lyricist with a knack for a clever turn of phrase and double entendres while mostly avoiding the trappings of cliche rock lyrics. Also UFO was, by far, the most melodic of any hard rock/heavy band ever as epitomized by their TRUE classic Love to Love. Nobody combined beautiful melody, English class and thoughtfulness with HEAVY like UFO. Pretty unique blend of elements...

All great songs they play regularly on Boneyard. I should dig deeper.

That's a great description of UFO!
Only thing missing is the beauty of Schenkers guitar solos, just stunning.
