Halford sure got a lot of mileage from his coming out.
I mean good for him but is it necessary to bring it up in every interview.

Or is it the journalists who all think that "the gay, 70 year old metal god" is the best angle even 25 years later?

But someone had to select which questions he got to answer. And that someone apparently finds Halford's sexuality more interesting than most of his 50 years career.

I didnt know much about his gay-dom.
I found his answer interesting because I didn’t realize he came out while away from Priest.
He’d probably still be in the closet if he never left the band

He came out during an MTV interview to promote 2wo, if I recall.

Made sense. Real gay album.
