ugh..this hurts......He fought as long as he could. Was glad to have him and the band on the past Monsters cruises. Fun conversations.
CJ "Mad Max Pants" I used to kid him about that. Couldn't have been any nicer to fans....

Today is a sad day for Rock N Roll.

It is with great sorrow we are letting the world know we have lost our brother: CJ Snare, the rock and roll warrior, lead vocalist, and a founding member of Firehouse.

CJ snare passed unexpectedly at home Friday night, April 5, 2024. He was a young 64 years old.

As you are all aware, CJ was expected to be back on stage with the band this summer after recovering from surgery.

We are all in complete shock with CJ's untimely passing.

CJ was was arguably one of the best vocal talents of a generation, touring the world with Firehouse non stop the past 34 years.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Snare family, Katherine Little, friends, and all our beloved fans all over the world.

"Reach for the Sky” CJ! You will be forever missed by family, friends, fans and your band mates. You’re singing with the angels now.

Best music era ever
Best MTV era ever
Best Metal Edge era ever

So cool I was raised in Firehouse era
Being in High School while FirehouseMania was taking over the world was the best- life plan was to live like that everyday in life. I do that because of bands like Firehouse

Got to see Firehouse in an arena- same place Ultimate Warrior ran down the aisle- got to see Firehouse on Arsenio
Hall show on tv when world was perfection
Got to see Firehouse play outside venue where all people in crowd were 15-25 mostly in 1992 for 4000-
seeing Firehouse play Greek Theatre was insane considering this was a time when Grunge Nuclear bombs were dropped in 1993
Walking to Whisky and seeing Firehouse on Whisky marquee was dream come true so late in life for me

All She Wrote video is the best
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

I didn't realize CJ Snare was 64. That means he was about 31 when their first record came out.

He seemed like a good guy from everything I've always heard.

How is CJ Snare dead but Jack Russell is still alive?

Last month my aunt had a biopsy, 2 weeks later she got the result that it was stage 4 cancer, 1 week later she was dead.

Same thing happened to my cousin and brother n law … feeling fine one day and 3 weeks later dead from cancer.

Sad. RIP.

Scary to not even know you have anything wrong with you until it’s too late for treatment and you’re dead in a week … happens every day.

Firehouse had some great tunes, but totally gave up putting out new music. Their live shows were without much enthusiasm except CJ. The dude was a great frontman and loved it. He always had time for a chat, picture, or autograph. A lot of people were pissed because CJ was all on the posters then got a replacement scab. I see Firehouse still doing the corndog circuit with Warrant 20 years from now.

RIP CJ and you are loved

I never really cared for their ballads, but I love a bunch of their other songs. "Reach for the Sky", "All She Wrote", "Shake & Tumble", etc. are all great tunes. Over the years, in the clips I would see, he really seemed to do a good job of keeping his voice and putting on a good show. He always seemed like a good guy in the interviews I would see as well. RIP.

This sucks. He was a good dude the few times we met after a show and just seemed appreciative of everything.
I’m completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. These two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death.

That's rough. I hope you are well today. I currently have stage II colon cancer. Had a right hemicolectomy last month. I am cancer-free right now. Got my scope early enough.

I never saw Firehouse live. Oddly, I did see White Heat play in Winston Salem NC if I remember correctly.
Somewhere in NC anyway.

Wow, I missed the memo on his health issues. Saw them in like 2017, they were great. Love me some Firehouse, such an underrated live act. That old footage of Firehouse with Trixter from the same concert is a wonderful example of the difference between a bunch of hacks and a bunch of pros.

I get more of a boner for baritone's stretching their range, but CJ is probably my favorite tenor from that era.

Everyone should blast this in his honor:
