Also this isn’t me saying “stick to music” because I don’t do that, but considering he was the new guy in Van Halen and they were not at all a political band, I dunno, I’m surprised they were cool with this. I think Sammy said some anti-death penalty stuff on the Balance tour when he’d been in the band for a decade and it was part of the stage banter, but going on cable news as a pro life guy with “Van Halen Lead Singer” on the screen struck me as odd.

Besides the subject of his opinion or whether or not he should be speaking out publicly as the lead singer of VH, what an awful subject to try and shoehorn into a 5 minute interview. Bill gets hated for being right-leaning, but he does his best here to get something out of a 5 minute interview, and it's just a waste.

This is a totally useless conversation at anything under about 30 minutes, IMO.

I wouldn't exactly call it ranting....he can barely put a sentence together. One of the least charismatic front men around. And whether the other band members agreed with his views or not, why split your crowd in two when you need supporters so badly?
