Skab Row prediction

Post by Wild Obsession »

Skid Row "lucked out"/finally found a "replacement" for Sebastian with Erik Gronwall, he was a great fit, high energy, charismatic front-man, and had the range to cover their catalog (and the new album was solid). Because of Gronwall, they brought back a lot of fans who had checked out during the 2 decades of mediocre vocalists and weak albums.

Unfortunately Gronwall also confirmed that SR is a faceless bar band without a true "front-man", and SR is not going to find another Gronwall (and/or look like total morons if the next guy didn't pan out).

There will be no reunion......., despite all the shit Bach gets, IMO, Bolan's ego has just as much to do with it (he thinks SR is all about his prolific songwriting).

My prediction is that after Lizzy Hale, they will continue milking the "special guest/fill in singer" angle. (and it will probably be underwhelming scabs like Andrew Freeman 95% of the time).

How many shows do you think they'll do a year with this strategy?

They are definately reuniting with Bas
Both will finish out their 24 schedules & announce for 25, going out w/ Poison/Cinderella in sheds or Guns/Motley in Stadiums
First off, Bas needs to keep his mouth shut for the next 9 months

I feel like he is too busy for the SR gig. The guy is always working and doing something.

I don't think they have a choice. After 4 singers or whatever that haven't worked out, they are looking foolish.
I also think it's odd that Bach is unusually quiet right now. You would think he would be all over Erik leaving saying "I told you so"...

As has been posted before, many times, Bach is the only move left. Not because its a good move but because of time. There is a closing window on taking a victory lap. All pushing 60. Bands with bigger hard ons for each other have been able to pull this off, so the logistics are easy. Swallow the bullet. Social security isn't as much as you think

That's a good one! I say if JSS doesn't work out, they should get Michael Bormann! He might actually be a better fit.

Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

Or Bach'd salivate at the idea of his nemesis making a fool out of himself trying to sing "his" songs.

Tuff singer has always been like bench player in WNBA for a season
Bach is like that new Iowa sensation that got drafted to Indiana few days ago. Now Nike giving her 8 figure contract

But we still remember that bench player for season. Going see his greatness in 2024 at Whisky show
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"
