It's sad what they turned into, but whatever.

They should have parodied that old Motley Crue Uncensored VHS from 1986 and just done a version from today. Have them knock on a door and an old chick answers and doesn't know where Vince is, and he waddles down the stairs with his shirt off.

Whatever they were trying to do, it wasn't funny and didn't seem very thought out. It was also weird for them to do because they didn't even try to pretend that John 5 is a member of the band since they didn't have him sign anything.

Also, Big Machine hasn't had a great track record with rock bands. Last fall they put out the new Struts record and that didn't do shit and is dead in the water. They had a few other rock bands that didn't do anything either. The biggest act Big Machine ever had was Taylor Swift and we all know how that story ended.

After 43 years, Motley doesn't need a record label to put out a few singles a year digitally. It's dated thinking but go figure.

In their situation, that label is essentially acting as their "distribution" and "mail order" crew...

In the end, the band are too big to handle this themselves, so they need a label in place to sort... in comparison, most of the bands who sign to Spirit Records, and similar labels, could very likely handle the amount of product they sell, and collect and keep, A LOT more of the money... but to select bands, they feel important being "Signed".

Even though that term in modern day is next to useless for anyone over the age of 30 or 35.

There are NO label executives telling Nikki what to do... and the "splits" they have agreed to share, are WAY more in the band's favor, than 99.99% of all bands signed.

Same applies with Kiss, Metallica, Gn'R and the others.
