Priest - Electric Eye: it's got all their official videos up through the Painkiller album + the full Priest...LIve! show in Dallas + a few BBC early days videos

close 2nd: Maiden - The Early Years: it's got 3 shows (incl. both Dianno and Bruce Bruce) + a nice long documentary featuring interviews with most if not all of the earlier members.

Agree with both of those. Maiden mainly for Beast Over Hammersmith.

Also Rush In Rio and the Led Zeppelin s/t DVD.
Van Halen US Festival if it counts, it's not an official release in any format.

Maiden - Rock In Rio
It came out at the perfect time, when we were 14 and discovering heavy metal. The impact on our generation was enormous.

I have this and it's awesome. Coverdale's first time in CA. Hughes coked out screeching. Lord tipping his organ. Pissed off Ritchie breaking cameras. CA sunset. Surreal...

I bought very few DVD's. I mostly bought the Greatest Hits ones... Motley, Poison, Ratt, Cinderella... just because they had all of the videos in place and some cool interview clips.

Most of the old VHS tapes were cool. This was pre-internet so it was cool to see high quality versions of all the videos plus exclusive interviews.

I always loved the "in the studio" stuff like Aerosmith Pump and Slaughter The Wild Life.

Skid Row Oh Say Can You Scream was fun.

Bon Jovi Access All Areas... I thought was boring at the time but I love it now. Clips from that VHS were used on The Circle DVD and the new Hulu doc.

And our course Kiss Exposed and Motley Uncensored. I think those were the 2 most popular ones.

I was amazed they were able to sell the Video VHS's that had almost nothing on them

Kiss Crazy Nights videos
DLR - EEAS Videos
shit like that.

Kiss Exposed cost a lot, but you got a lot. Who the fuck was buying the Crazy Nights VHS for like $20? It was 12 mins long with three fucking songs on it!

Not familiar with the Slaughter one, but The Making of Pump is AWESOME. It's crazy-amazing to watch those songs come together.

I think my all-time favorite is A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica, specifically the recording half. It's cool to see them at the cusp of superstardom, just working into some mild diva behavior.

The first Danzig home video is a classic. Start to finish, a wonder of modern cinema.

And of course all the Pantera home videos.

Yeah forgot about them but they were huge at the time. Pre-reunion and pre-Kissology, seeing 70s Kiss in pro quality was a big thing. Now everything is out there in even better quality and all you have left is Gene and Paul goofing off, playing 80s rock stars.

Back in the old days of Pay-Per-View, I VHS taped the Moscow Music and Peace Festival. I wish I still had that (will need to look on YT). I thought it was a great time capsule of the era.

Edit: Found it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LX8ANPDfaaU

Man, Bach had "such a purtty mouth" back then. Dude should have kept going to the dentist.

Cinderella was the best performance on that day.

Watching some of it now. I think Cinderella was a better band than they got credit for lumping in with the rest of the hair metal. They had some stinkers on record, but I always dug the swampy rock. Nobody's Fool was epic at the MM&PF. Got to see them live 2 or 3 times in their heyday.
