What's your take on this hair band top 100?

I'd say it's not too bad. But some questionable rankings. Y&T top 30? With Europe only at 43?

Also, there's a few glaring omissions. No Zebra? Zebra is better than most bands in the bottom 50. Where's XYZ? You're gonna leave out those two but Wild Boyz and Mr Nasty (who?) are on there? Even Rockhead made the fucking list, but Zebra and XYZ didn't.

One-and-done nobodies like Rockhead, Contraband and Candy Harlot are on the list but not bands like Icon, Heavens Edge and Pretty Maids who weren't huge but at least had a couple of albums and tours and have a cult following?? Has ANYBODY on here ever met a Rockhead or Candy Harlot fan??

I'm sure Sebastian loves still being put in the Glam/Hair category.

Nitro seems WAY too high. Look at all the bands they beat out.

I lost interest as soon as I saw Quiet Riot ahead of Bon Jovi

Nitro doesn't even belong in the top 1000.

Not a horrible list, but Whitesnake is way too high on there, and Tesla ahead of Dokken is pure nonsense.

THIS.

Bon Jovi is arguably the most successful of all the hair bands. They were relevant for at least three decades, charting Billboard hits in the 80s, 90s, and 00s. They never disappeared like Motley and GnR either. Certainly they should be above Quiet Riot, Alice Cooper, Whitesnake, and the Scorpions.

KISS being number 1 is weird as their peak predates the hair metal era.

And their hair metal era played second fiddle to bigger more popular bands like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Motley Crue etc.

There we go. Thank you for posting the #1 so I don't have to give my click to the 716th hairband list clickbait article. THAT'LL SHOW 'EM!

I like how Aerosmith is listed with the caveat (80's era) but Kiss is just on top with no qualifier.
