Bands you have never seen live
What major or semi major bands have you never seen live not even once or in any configuration? If you don’t like at least one song don’t count that. Like I can’t stand Iron Maiden so the fact I’ve never seen them doesn’t matter, etc.
My list.
AC/DC
AEROSMITH
RATT
WARRANT
OZZY
METALLICA
MEGADETH
VIXEN
WHITESNAKE
STYX
LITA FORD
QUEENSRYCHE
RHCP
The only ones that bum me out are Ozzy and Warrant. I had plans to see Warrant in 2008 before the Jani reunion fell apart. I hope to see RHCP at some point.
I’d go see Styx if it was cheap/low effort. I love Megadeth but only a certain era (Cryptic Writings through United Abominations) and Dave’s set list doesn’t really have anything I care to hear. I don’t like the really old heavy shit or the most recent. Looking at recent set list they did 15 songs and I only like 5.
So who did you all miss out on and any stories to tell like you had tickets and got sick or you didn’t get into a band until they were old/retired/dead?

AC/DC
Van Halen
Quiet Riot
Whitesnake
Duran Duran
Billy Idol
Alice In Chains
Blink-182
Foo Fighters
Probably others on my playlist that I can't think of or the list would be too long.
The inverse, one band I liked at one time that I wish I had never seen live is Poison. Loved them in 87-88. Finally saw them in the early 90s, and was never a fan again.

Fleetwood Mac is the one band I had a chance to see that I passed on.
Everyone else I have ever wanted to see I have. I'm pretty lucky to have lived in areas where all the tours came through.

The only one that bothers me is Rush, hoping Lee/Lifeson do something before they croak. Time is running out.

Re: Bands you have never seen live
I've never seen a Beatle in concert! As far as the legends and my favorite bands, I think I've seen everyone else.
What always bothered me of course is that I didn't really get to see anyone in their prime. I saw very few concerts before 1999 Poison tour. Now...by "prime" I really mean commercial prime because a lot of bands actually became a better live act in later years. And put on much bigger shows.

Re: Bands you have never seen live
My list of bucketlist bands is mostly down to the C/D level bands. Very limited opportunities to see them:
-Vain - but I'll finally see them in October in MA.
-Tuff
-Killer Dwarfs
-D'Molls
-Warrior Soul
But, I'd also like to see:
-Jinjer
-Insane Clown Posse
-Kittie

Re: Bands you have never seen live
Gigs were my life from about 18-early 30s. I'm nowhere near IJWTHSTD's level but I've been to hundreds, plus maybe 20 festivals, so well over a thousand bands if you include all the supports. Maybe +1500. Almost everyone I wanted to see, I did, but I'm still discovering new artists. Myrkur was incredible earlier this year, got Red Fang coming up next week who my gig buddy has been a massive fan of for years. Fear have never played the UK, we had tickets to see them last month then the tour was cancelled. I've not seen Zeke yet; just got tix for them in November. In that same style, it's a shame I never got to see The Hookers.
The only big names I'm disappointed to have missed, that are still around, are McCartney and the Stones. I got in the e-queue for McCartney's show this coming December but then my phone f/d it up and by the time I got back in there was nothing left. I was not a happy man. I heard part of the Stones show when they played Twickenham Stadium in 2003 as I was helping friends move into a new house about 2 miles away and the band was clear as day, so probably not that different an experience to "watching" them from the nosebleeds.
I also really, really want to see Feuerschwanz. It's highly unlikely they'll ever play the UK and it'd be best to see them in Germany, but they are in Paris on a Friday at the end of November and I'm seriously considering a trip. Any Parisian Sludgers (or EE'ers) want to say hi?
