I assume Lynyrd Skynyrd's has Sweet Home Alabama, so that is an auto win for Rainbow for not having Sweet Home Alabama.

I have a hunch that the Rainbow one has loads of non-Dio tracks, play it safe, go with the Skynyrd one.

I don't give a fuck about either but one thing is carved in stone: The inner gatefold image for Skynyrd Gold & Platinum is the worst album art ever made for release by a major label. By a long shot. I still can't believe it when I see it.

And of course, "FREE BIRD!"
Because of those 2 cliche's I never listened to the band. And Sweet Home Alabama would always be on those Time/Life commercials. But man... I got comp tickets to see them at a casino like 15 years ago and they were fucking awesome. I knew every song from hearing them on the radio all my life but this was the first time I ever actually really listened to them. I'm aware it's more of a tribute band now but still...the music holds up. Skynyrd gets my vote.

Rainbow.
Skynyrd doesn't really have any great songs, not even Free Bird. And while Alabama itself can be kind of nice, the song Sweet Home Alabama does not impress at all.
