Let’s put an end some of these repetitive talking points forever. Seems as if the casuals enjoy bringing up the same lame troupes about certain bands/players.
- Van Halen is completely overwith and will never play together again.
- Chris DeGarmo will not be coming out of retirement to rejoin Queensryche.
- Vito Bratta is not coming out of retirement to rejoin White Lion.

Wolfgang Van Halen and his average talents are all 100% forgettable, except for his last name which will have idiots fawning over him until he drops dead from a heart attack!

I vote to avoid further threads about Motley or any band that uses tracks. Tracks are now a part of the fabric of many live shows and will continue to be.
Vince is fat, and the out-of-breath threads are boring.
Paul is gay/bi is boring.
The Sammy v Dave era threads are dead horses. You like what you like and don't what you don't.
Ace sucks is boring.
The above are all given. Let's move on.

Too BORED to care!
Without those topics, all we have left are the Jack Russell threads and that will only last a little while longer.
Speaking of Motley (and Jack)... in that recent interview posted, the ex-manager confirmed that Nikki might actually have a good enough memory to write the Heroin Diaries on account of him not having to remember how to play bass. I'm going to assume that he DID actually WRITE the songs at least and he usually looks cool so he's OK in my book! I like the fact that he moved to Wyoming during the pandemic too. I would've done the same if I had the money.

You are correct, but you must admit these all come up repeatedly. I also forgot Wolfgunt is fat; Dokken can't sing.
Maybe this is an omen. Within the next 5-10 years, we are likely to see many deaths of the 70-somethings from the era. Is Metal Sludge speeding toward obsolescence?

As a cover it has always been...ok, and I could certainly do with never listening to it again in my lifetime.
That said, is it really worse than "Gimme some reggae!"?

That is only if you don't take into account the "new" songs that are added to the setlist.
I'll take Knockin' over 'Absurd' any day.

It wouldn't be so bad if it was under 5 minutes. The 11 minute version, when the crowd is asked to sing along, is brutal.

Kick drums weren't/aren't supposed to go, "TIC,TIC,TIC."
They are supposed to go "THUD, THUD, THUD."
That is why they are called "BASS DRUMS."

rock music in America is dead and will never be main stream again. Of course small pockets of people will hang on but the masses are now fed either tired 40 to 50 year old classics and hip hop and country hip hop and its not going away.

Motley has always been terrible. A pure image band. Shout and the debut had tons of weak/filler tracks. Then it became almost 100% filler.
All image. And luck.

I know one hundred and sixty one thousand rock fans who would disagree with you. Because they've all flocked to rock on the video channel
www.Youtube.com since last month to get their fill of some old style RnR by an up and coming band.

Primal Scream is one of their best. And most of the hits were at least ok. Everything else was absolutely terrible.

I didn’t rate the song till I heard it live.
Now,when I do, it takes me back to the Carnival gig in Melbourne.
That’s the beauty of music, it triggers memories.

What, in your opinion, are the “filler” tracks on TFFL and SATD?
