Is Sammy Hagar the best frontman in rock today ?

The one that started it all. Spreading gossip and insults since 1998.

Is Sammy Hagar the best frontman in rock today ?

Post by joey78 »

After watching the shows on this tour , my respect for Sammy as a front man has gone up a million notches

I think he is currently the best frontman period. He just owns the stage. I have watched every single show on YouTube this tour and the reason is Sammy . Even the crap he talks sounds entertaining and spontaneous. I don’t think I’ve seen a better frontman . The way he dances to the opening chords of Good Enough, his interaction with Mikey during the show . Except for the cheesy BOBW dance , Sammy has not put one foot wrong this tour.

I would rate him higher than even Jagger, Tyler or Plant at this point . Sammy is the complete package.

Can’t think of anyone at 77 who is this good

He's pretty fukin good, in my opinion.. he nailed it on 5150 and those other couple albums.. Live Without A Net was great too.. and now I would go see Sam and Mike in a heartbeat. They look like they're having the time of their lives right now.. so good for them.
I turn on the Instagram and Sammy goes live almost every night and we catch him walking out, from backstage and hear him go Hellllo Baby!! That's fukin rad..

Yea because Eddie played with an abandon and freedom that nobody had seen in a decade .

The tour was superb , maybe not ticket sales-wise but Gary did a great job singing songs from both eras . Eddie had a renewed vigour . If they did a second record I am sure it would have been closer to the VH sound we all know

Well, if Gary had worn skin tight banana pants then that tour would have been even better.

I agree.

He's been getting a lot of hate on here lately and I don't understand it, at all.

He’s certainly one of the best. Ed Roland and Justin Hawkins are up there as well. Tobias Forge has to be in the conversation. Bruce Dickinson. He’s probably the best.

You say you’ve watched every show on YouTube.

Is it that boring in Mumbai India?

Because of your question I shot a cow just to watch it die.

I’d understand if they were shaking it up and playing some different stuff but it’s the same show every time. I’ve watched two full shows on YouTube that was one too many.

Justin Hawkins

Justin is great, but Luke Spiller is the best front man in the business today.

as a pure "frontman", he is just average to me
Not even in same stratosphere as a Roth type in that vein
His value is his voice is still strong & has a large catalog to choose from

Sir, please be careful.

With so few women in Mumbai, that cow that you just shot would have provided lovin' for at least 100 lonely Mumbai men like Joey78.

After he gets done pleasuring himself over his Sammy Shrine, getting his Sammy tattoo touched up, and watching Sammy's dance moves again, he might put a hit out on you.

That may be true but he plays the same boring solo songs every time.

One Way, 55, Eagles Fly, Heavy Metal, occasionally Three Lock Box or Mas Tequila … rest is all VH or Montrose or other random covers. Even when he’s doing Circle or Chickenshit or Other Half or whatever.

He did a shitload of solo albums, you’d think he’d have a bit more to show for it than four songs.

That Stallone Over The Top song is good, he should do that one.

Eddie had better hair in the Hagar era, but worse clothes.

The jeans and t-shirt look was an upgrade on the Roth-era, goofy jumpsuit overalls.
