What's your opinion on Richie Sambora's Aftermath of the Lowdown??

The one that started it all. Spreading gossip and insults since 1998.

I think it's great. Much better than Undiscovered Soul. It's better than most BJ albums in the 00s. Check out "You Can Only Get So High" and "Seven Years Gone".

Thought he just had that 1 album. Never knew he released more. Bet the label lost a fortune.

Yeah, well, Richie never saved a woman about to jump from a bridge. Jon wins again.

I don't know man! Heather went fucking nuts after their divorce. He may have talked her down a time or two!

As for this album... The production or the mastering could use more sparkle. It's very flat sounding. I really only like a handful of songs on this one (You Can Only Get So High, Seven Years Gone, Every Road, Forgiveness St) The album went virtually un-noticed. He did a record with Orianthi a few years later too. Since he split with Bon Jovi he's been unusually quiet for a guy that was so high profile.

True, on the Heather point.

As a guitar player, I've felt since the 80s that Richie was the band's soul. He had a vibe that stands out in his solo stuff, which I think was one of the main ingredients in BJ. What do I know? I haven't followed BJ for years except what is said on Sludge, and beside his departure from the band, I haven't followed Richie either.

The record has a certain element that's been missing from Bon Jovi records since at LEAST 2007:

Fun

Bon Jovi records since Crush have been taken way too damn seriously.
You can listen to my two albums here.... Sludge away, fuckers!

JBJ soooooo wants to be Springsteen, but the problem is he has about 1/10 the talent.
