Kris Kristofferson - 1936 - 2024
I saw him mentioned in the Death Pool thread, but this dude deserves his own thread. One of the greatest songwriters in country music. "Me and Bobby McGee," "Sunday Morning Coming Down," "For the Good Times," "Why Me," and I could go on and on. An absolute legend.

Excellent songwriter. Pretty amazing guy all things considered with him being a Rhodes Scholar, going to West Point, chopper pilot, etc. Decent actor too, did some cool movies. But primarily yeah, his writing chops were top notch. Not many country or folk artists HAVEN'T done a Kristofferson song and guys like Johnny, Willie, Waylon, etc. all had big hits from them, not to mention Janis. Kris was a legend.
*I kinda want a new screenname. Seriously. I barely watch racing anymore.

He seemed very comfortable as an organised crime boss in Payback.
Awesome dude. R.I.P

Yeah he was great in that and the Blade films.
Watching him in films was my first exposure to him. I didn't realise he was a musician until a lot later.

Zappa is pure cult status shit. He is to music what Bruce fucking Campbell is to acting....

I feel like looked old when I was kid in the ‘70s.

My dad had a ton of his records, along with a bunch of Willie, Waylon, Johnny etc., such great stuff. All that older outlaw country stuff is solid.
