You know, in France, we don’t really talk about mental health that much. It’s like, “T'en as plein le cul de ta life de merde? Just get some drink, take a walk with your poodle, and you’ll be fine!” But it’s not that simple, right? Life has its dark moments, its tough moments. And let’s face it, when you’re feeling down, it’s not always easy to pick yourself up. For me, SLAYER has been a huge part of that process, in ways people might not expect. When I’m overwhelmed, listening to their music feels like a kind of therapy. I mean, is there anything more powerful than blasting “Altar of Sacrifice” when you need to let off steam?

Back when I was at university, I specifically remember coming in for one exam and another student saying "oh I'm so stressed, I had to play lots of calming music this morning", and me replying "really? I was playing Reign In Blood". Metal is great for that: it picks you up and energises you, whereas I find acoustic songs (even the ones I like) calm you for that moment but don't actually do anything to move you on.

Thank you for admitting that KISS fans in 2024 are mentally ill.

I didn't read any of your post, but that's what it was about... right?!?
