Just arrived and am giving it a spin. Performances are good and similar to the origs. A few criticisms this far:

1) Vocals sound waaaay in the back of the mix with a ton of echo, makes it sound like a demo.
2) Schenker Guitar waaay out in front.
3) Dee Snider should have picked a different song. Natural thing doesn't seem to jell with him. Hokestra kicks ass, though!

Highlights for me:

1) Erik Gronwell and Slash doing "Mother Mary". Erik sounds great and Slash adds to the tune. My Fav on the CD.
2) Biff Byford on This Kids--He sounds like he stepped right out of the 80's, his voice still sounds good!
3) Basic tracks sound good, are consistent and don't overpower.

More to come later.

Jingles? Batter up?

Have to bump this - I love these new recordings from Michael!

Never really got UFO, always sounded dated to me, but wow - He gives all these songs a big modern sound and with multiple vocalists, it's like a whole new music discovery to me. Awesome album.

Thanks for the reminder , will take a listen to the album it in the next week or so !

The first time I saw MSG was when they did a tour with Lynch Mob and Sister Sin , all 3 bands were incredible that night \m/

If you have not heard it , make sure the check out the Sister Sin album called Sounds Of The Underground, an absolutely fantastic album . I became a fan after getting that album and then found out about the above tour . The album is a great mix of heavy & melodic perfection kinda like a mix of early Crüe , Accept , Priest and a bit of Motörhead with awesome vocals .

One of the better bands of the new Millennium .
