Mac Sabbath

A band dressed in Macdonald characters who play black Sabbath songs such as sweet beef. It looks ridiculous but also entertaining to see live at least once. Anyone seen this band? Looks like a band HueyRamone would like. Or maybe even play in!

I love ‘em. Wish they’d tour near me.
I want to see a double bill with Cybertronic Spree. “Hello, Livenation…??? Think I got a money maker.”

Sa them at the MORC pre party a few years back. Def entertaining, but wouldn't want to see again

I saw them & was bored within 15/20 minutes. They look funny, though.
Openers for the show were Okilly Dokilly, who play "Nedal" music, a subgenre of metal music themed around the animated character Ned Flanders from the television series The Simpsons. All band members perform dressed as Flanders, and the majority of the lyrics to their songs are quotes of his." They were interesting for maybe 10/15 minutes.

I saw them in Bellingham a few years before Covid and enjoyed them . Great to see once.
One of their opening bands that night was Mothership and they were amazing ! My friend bought everything that Mothership was selling that night (every type of vinyl and shirt they had ) LOL .
I did get a cool Mac Sabbath baseball shirt that night \m/
You will enjoy the show !

I saw then once (the only time they ever played here) and it was a fun show.
Would I go again? Probably not but it is a show I think you'd enjoy if you've never seen them before.

I have so many events that week already \m/
Grey Cup ( Taking my son)
King Diamond / Overkill
Toque ( my first time to finally get to see them , they are led by Todd Kerns )
Roadside Attraction (Tragically Hip Tribute)
In fact I have a number of cool shows leading up to that week .
Girlschool (Final tour) / Alcatraz / Lillian Axe : will be a great show
WASP / Armoured Saint
Flock Of Seagulls - first time to see them & their new song is great
Are you going to any of these other events ?

Awesome to see Mother ship mentioned! Great band! As far as Mac Sabbath, like others have mentioned the novelty wore off after a few songs. I lump them in with Metalachi and such.

No. I was half tempted with Wasp, but I saw them years ago and had a great time. Don't want to tarnish that memory.
I might check out the Grey cup if I can get a decently priced ticket.
I didn't know flock of seagulls were playing. Their first album is great! I might go to that actually.

They're pretty great except for one aspect; they have Steel Panther disease, which means there's way too much bad stand-up comedy and not enough music. They do a great job with the songs which must be a little difficult because some of the costumes are really bulky and obtrusive. It's a very good show overall though.

Nope. They say they’re old and boring as fuck after a few songs.
