What?!?! I had never heard of bands doing anything remotely as weird as this. I'll admit I'm not really up on Chrissie Hynde news but I've also also never heard of this type of Cunt-like behaviour either. Maybe she's been hanging out with Burton Cummings LOL. Way to alienate hardcore Pretenders fans...do they even exist anyway?

Pretenders say they'll remove concertgoers from the first row if they attend more than one show.

"When we go on tour, the whole point of it for the band is that we are playing to a different audience every night. That's why we go on tour!" Chrissie Hynde said in a social media post, garnering lots of angry responses. "We appreciate those of you who follow us and buy tickets for multiple nights, so please don’t be offended if we request you to move out of the front row."

Do they play close enough for fans to do this, or are their fans that crazy that they’ll drive far to see them again? And if so, don’t they deserve to be there? I’ve never seen a band more than once on a tour. Seems like a real anal thing to be bothered about.

I think if someone presses this issue legally, they would win. She doesn't have the right to discriminate against ticket-holders. And she has no idea how they have come across those tickets. Also, in the current environment, StubHub and SeatGeek appear to be legal.

If you're drawing so few fans that you can recognize who's in the front row gig-to-gig, best to shut up and take whatever they're willing to pay to see your 70yo washup ass.

I don't know why, maybe it's because I'm a little dumb myself, but the ridiculous amount of stupidity from bands, coupled with them being hell-bent on running off the hardcores in favor of casual fans never ceases to amaze me.

I suspect has the opposite of groupies - weirdo men that pay big money to go every show and get up front, and she's tired of seeing their faces at every show.

Can't really imagine it being anything else.

Usual BS from Danzig, who may be just one rung above Rising Farce on the "effing political to the point of utter mental incompetence meter." Read the law. The venue can have people removed for behavior issues or public intoxication. They are not allowed to remove people spuriously. Now, if she were able to show fraud, that's a different matter. But of course she cannot. Also, people are allowed to transfer their tickets under current law.

Who in their right mind has the energy to consistently be front row at concerts? Like in the first row. Can’t blame her for seeing the same fucking nerds at every other gig.

I guess it should be pointed out that these tickets are selling for pretty cheap, relatively speaking. It isn't a "rich fan, poor fan" thing.

They had some good songs but was never a fan. I never understood her appeal.

I guess I can understand where she's coming from, but it's still a bit strange. Did she or her people not thing this was going to piss a bunch of people off? Especially if they only read the headline and not the statement. I also wonder if they're reserved seating or GA? If it's reserved seating and that important to her, she could just pull a Billy Joel and hold back the front row tickets and give them out at the show. Also, if the shows are all within 2-3 hours of each other, you don't even have to be a superfan to want to catch more than one show. I can think of a dozen bands I'd travel 2-3 hours to see multiple times. I've never done 3 shows, but I've done 2 shows in 2 nights a few times.
