What a clusterfück honoring the PoD!
Zakk should have played the whole set, that Watt guy has no place on the stage, and their choice of singers was completely wrong. Fatass VH did do pretty good though

Who was that blonde moron, not Zakk Wylde?
Like Zakk, I don't care for him. But that solo and slow breakdown in No More Tears is pretty fucking cool.
I think Jack Black could have sung those songs better.
Anyway, fuck Ozzy. I'm going to listen to Heaven and Hell.

Ozzy looks in pain, and he very well might be.
I've seen Jelly Roll on other things, and he sounded okay. Mama sounded like shit.

Yeah, that was about what I expected to see of Ozzy. And I just don't get the Andrew Watt thing. Dude glues together two albums for Ozzy that include material that was recorded God knows when, and now we got to see him on stage at anything Ozzy does?
And what the fuck was up with Maynard being out there? He's fine for Tool, but I don't want to see him doing anything else.

Chubbygang seemed to hang right near the singer, trying to get in shot the whole time. I thought an introvert like him wouldnt be such an attention hog?
His plaid shirt makes him look a bit better than the black gamerwear ensemble he is always in

Yeah for such an unattractive man he has that Lizzo confidence. I admire his bravery.

Ha. He may play at the whole "just leave me alone" thing but you know that he feels that being a rick star is his birthright

No matter where he stands on stage, some part of him is going to be in the shot

I watched a few other videos of this performance. The comments are full of nutjobs saying Jelly Roll and Maynard killed it. WTF? They were awful. Billy was okay. Wolfgunt played fine. Ozzy is almost dead. Jack Black is fat as fuck and looks like shit. The entire thing was pretty atrocious.

I guess at some point, Jack decided he was going make all his money from VO work, so it didn't matter what he looked like.
And I can't say I'm surprised at the RRHOF. This is the same people that gave us Velvet Revolver doing the Van Halen induction.

Yeah. That was horrible. Nothing about the RRHOF means anything to me. It doesn't change who was great or influential. I've lived in Ohio since 1980 and visited the museum once with no desire to return. It killed a couple of hours, and since it "enshrines" all musical genres, it sure ain't rock n roll.

LFI he never could act... he was only good at playing Jack Black.

I watched this and my thoughts were pretty much as follows:
“Wow, everyone really showed up for this. Maynard, Chad, Wolfie, Rob, Zakk. It’s Ozzy’s night but what a cool and deserved moment for Zakk also. Wolf’s lost a lot of weight. Boy, I bet some Sludgers are gonna bend over backwards to reach for reasons to shit on this.”

Yeah, Ozzy has Parkinson’s something fierce.
Chad Smith is a great drummer. Didn’t think Maynard was the right choice for fronting this band. Wolf he did just fine, he’s a killer guitarist.

The irony of Fatcunt playing the Crazy Train solo is that Ed considered that tapping section to be ripped off from him. He hated Randy because of that solo.
The hard truth is, his cunt dad didn’t invent it. He took it and made it his main schtick, proceeding to beat it like a dead horse.

One of the interesting revelations from Al's book was that hearing Jimi Hendrix was what inspired the bros. to play rock music - BitD, Eddie made a point of saying that he "loved" Hendrix but he "really was never an influence on me." BS.

I can't figure him out. A lot of these artists explode on the scene from somewhere. I assume many are from social media fame and have fleeting careers. I also can't stand the preaching types - like Jelly Roll. I don't know his backstory, nor do I care.

I don't really care about him one way or the other, but he was flat as fuck on the chorus of "Mama, I'm Coming Home". Kelly Clarkson did a FAR better job on "I Want to Know What Love Is".

I like Post Malone, as an artist. But the face tatts look like shit. He did that one video with Taylor Swift where they erased his face tattoos, and he wasn’t so bad. Fat guys with face tatts are even worse.

Jelly Roll sounded like bad karaoke night in a local bar. I know there's some sort of law now where if you are doing a tribute to somebody that Jelly Roll has to get up and sing, but we need to end that right away. He might be a nice guy and all that and love music, but he truly sucks at singing. I don't understand at all how he's even allowed on TV.
Whenever I see guys like him with all the face tattoos it just tells me they've made horrible life decisions and will probably be dead in their 40s.

I have to admit the Fattie was probably the best part of the entire thing. He did a great job on the Crazy Train solo.
I have NO idea who picks the other artists, and why?
First, Andrew Watt was a prime example of someone who had no self awareness and was acting like the star of the stage when no one really knew or gave a fuck about him. Yes, "hot " producer, but no business being up there, much less hogging the attention like that.
Second, my guess is Jack Osborne had a say in James Maynard because he worships Tool, but those voices do not match (and I think they detuned the song). Weird (and bad) choice.
third, Chad Smith is great, but the Crazy Train drum parts are iconic -- play THOSE.
Fourth, Jelly Roll was awful. We can all agree on that, I would hope.
I actually thought Billy Idol did a decent job and was a fit for the song.
Zakk did great.
I didn't expect a Bob Daisely mention, but it would have been classy and warranted. Silly me for even typing that when it comes to Sharon and Ozzy.

You answered your own question on who picks the artists. Everyone mentioned has come up with ozzy at some point. They are going to continue throwing Andrew a bone because he’s a huge fan and also what he spliced together for oz and apparently another album in the bag. Jelly roll is also a huge fan and brings a ton of attention

Wait, there's going to be a THIRD glued together album? You sure about that? Doesn't really make sense with that big, career spanning boxed set they just announced.
