Exactly what I thought given the timingRocker4Real wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 10:52 am Is this because Erik let it slip that someone in the Skids camp said, "You're dead to me"?
A month with Schenker is a lot less intense than what Skid Row did with the gangs all here tourjens wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 11:56 am Gronwall has got a tour with Schenker lined up, at least as intense as what Skid Row usually does:

Nice to have an insider here.greengoblinrulz wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 2:58 pm Im a fan of Erik but him being overseas was really the problem.
Skids were forced to actually do bus tours for a month plus due to that.
They couldnt do the weekend runs to lessen the amount of days with having to fly Erik back n forth
I had also heard from someone close to Erik that it definately wasnt a cordial split as Skids thought they had found their singer & there was some belief Erik took a short time gig to bolster his popularity with no real intention of being in band for longer haul.
As someone pointed out earlier, he went and joined Michael Schenker’s band for a month long tour, it’s not like he joined Guns N Roses for an 18 month tour.greengoblinrulz wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 2:58 pm Im a fan of Erik but him being overseas was really the problem.

It was only 1 show, not a tour.Tommy2Tone84 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 4:15 pmAs someone pointed out earlier, he went and joined Michael Schenker’s band for a month long tour, it’s not like he joined Guns N Roses for an 18 month tour.greengoblinrulz wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 2:58 pm Im a fan of Erik but him being overseas was really the problem.

The people who pointed out the logistics of him having to fly over to the States for every show or “leg” of their casino tour doesn’t make a lot of sense long term. I don’t blame him for not wanting to move here given his health condition. He gets better care in his native country than if he moved his family over here.
Given Erik’s health condition and struggles, the fact someone told him that he is “dead” to them makes me respect the band even less and definitely bolsters the prevailing attitudes of those of us who feel that Bach wasn’t the only asshole in the band.
Rob “nice guy” Affuso has publicly admitted that he and Sebastian used to get in fist fights and he has a red line that Sebastian has to be the singer in order for him to come back.
While he handled it like a child, Sebastian wasn’t wrong about the KISS tour in 1996.
I wasn't aware of that story for a long time, and had already made up my mind that something didn't seem "right" about the situation, that the blame was always 100% on Sebastian. I laughed for probably five minutes when I found out that the breakup was due to Sebastian wanting them to open for KISS, Rachel saying they were too big for that...and then Skid Row still going on to open for KISS on the next (not quite as big) tour. Clearly, they've been their own worst enemies for a long time.Tommy2Tone84 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 4:15 pmAs someone pointed out earlier, he went and joined Michael Schenker’s band for a month long tour, it’s not like he joined Guns N Roses for an 18 month tour.greengoblinrulz wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 2:58 pm Im a fan of Erik but him being overseas was really the problem.

When was the last time the crossed the country in a bus for 3 months straight? They're not the kind of band to put together gruelling schedueles.jens wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 11:56 am Gronwall has got a tour with Schenker lined up, at least as intense as what Skid Row usually does:

Three week tour in Europe with short drives between cities. It's a whole different thing than flying back and forth over Atlantic.jens wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 11:56 am Gronwall has got a tour with Schenker lined up, at least as intense as what Skid Row usually does:

That’s even worse. They couldn’t do ONE show cause of Rachel’s side project?
factchecker wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 11:30 pm What's with Dave saying they always "wanted" to do a live album?
I guess
Oh Say Can You Scream VHS (plenty of live performances on that)
SKID ROW Moscow Peace Festival Blu Ray
Skid Row Live from Wembly 1992
SKID ROW live from London Astoria 1995
None of these count?
You didn't even mention the Vegas show they were going to release with Tony Harnell that they cancelled. Twisted Sister, Extreme and Great White all released theirs, so it was clearly ready to go.factchecker wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 11:30 pm What's with Dave saying they always "wanted" to do a live album?

I thought it was a little classless that the first album they released since Solinger died was called "The Gang's All Here." I mean...a former member of the gang since you were "here" last DIED lolAnthrax442 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 8:11 pm
Solinger also essentially drinking himself to death while being in the band never sat well with me either. Not saying that there's anything the guys COULD have done, and maybe they did do things and they just weren't publicized. But I dunno, something feels different about what happened with Solinger and Skid Row vs Jani and Warrant. Probably just me.

If I remember correctly the first one who posted that 'dead' thing said it's excerpt from Erik's book.MetalSludgeCEO wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 8:41 pm """"""""""the fact someone told him that he is “dead” to them makes me respect the band even less """""""""""""
This, NEVER happened and there is NO PROOF.
Clearly you took the "bait", when someone randomly posted that on here.
And I even asked, "where did you hear that?" and the guy pretty much admitted it was through a 3rd party.
Do you really believe that Snake or Rachel would say that anywhere much-less publicly?
They did not but you are buying it hook, line and sinker. Lame.

In 2023 they did about 3-4 months total throughout the year on a bus in USA with Buckcherry.jens wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 11:59 pmWhen was the last time the crossed the country in a bus for 3 months straight? They were probably gonna fire him anyway before he quit. His concerts weren't getting good reviews. Maybe he thought he'd be more of an equal since they were friends before he joined. I remember Snake saying something along the lines of him being a good friend and not a good bandmate.

From my recollection he was “let go.”
