Mother of god listen to Mike's voice on Runnin' with the Devil.

Van fuckin' Halen > Adult-contemporary Unfinished soccer mom horseshit.

Cool! Grabbed the original FLAC files and listening now. Great leak/release of an uncirculated show.

It’s really cool but a lot of these old tape recordings drive my ears crazy because it’s ~1/2 step up in pitch and I have to assume that’s because the tape ran fast when it was transferred.

LOVE that version of Secrets. Alex is killing it there. Mike's vocals are a bit to high on a bunch of the songs, but the background vocals on that song are perfect. Tough song to sing, but Roth does a pretty good job

Notes:
Here we have another totally unheard, uncirculated soundboard recording of Van Halen during their Diver Down tour (Hide Your Sheep tour) in 1982. This is the third of three consecutive nights Van Halen played at the Worcester Centrum in 1982. It appears that not even an audience recording of these Worcester shows have circulated previously.

Besides this tape and the recording of the first night in Worcester that was shared two days ago, only two other soundboard recordings from their 1982 tour have ever circulated: a quite muffled-sounding tape source of the first Dallas show, and the audio from the Largo proshot house feed.

The first side of the 90 minute master tape runs out during Everybody Wants Some, but is flipped in time to capture Dave's banter that followed. On the second side, the tape was deliberately stopped again following Somebody Get Me A Doctor, so we're missing Dave's acoustic guitar and singing bit, Ice Cream Man, Intruder, Pretty Woman, and the first few minutes of Eddie's guitar solo. The tape was likely stopped right here to be able to capture more of the end of the show. In comparison with the recording of the first night, the tape here actually captures the Happy Trails a cappella and the reprise of You Really Got Me, completing the end of the concert.

This is essentially the raw transfer, since I overall prefer doing as little editing as possible. Besides, I am not the right person to be doing any sort of worthwhile mastering work. The manual azimuth adjustment was done by briefly listening to the tape playing into a mono feed, with stereo headphones.

Enjoy the music and be grateful we are able hear these special recordings. If you have uncirculated tapes, please consider sharing them before they end up forever lost to time.

Yeah, that makes this one unlistenable to me. The good news is that it can easily be fixed and someone probably will.

Then they both should be ashamed.

A third show from the 1982 tour in Toronto has surfaced now. Supposedly the final circulating SBD from this tour.

Yeah... Dave was still at least trying to sing on those tours.
