Listening to Octane on SiriusXM

Every other so called “metal” song in 2024 played on SiriusXM starts with some sort of random synth sound equipped with a synth drum beat. On top of that, the sound of the music is compressed beyond compression. Borderline inaudible music.
Are all of the newer band’s using the same producer to generate this same sound? Or are they producing their own stuff? It’s almost as if none of the group’s listen to the sound of their own music before it is released.
Your thoughts?

Sirius' signal is so compressed it's really hard to tell anymore. My 40-year old boom box sounds better.

Had Sirius/XM for 20 some years, and always found Octane to be shit despite liking Kayla Riley and Grant Random. These newer bands are all sound-alikes. Can’t explain it except “that’s what the kids like.” Any more, I exclusively listen to my Apple Music library. It’s built into my car too.

When I tried to use Sirius for music in the car it sounded worse than the free version of Spotify.

A good percentage of the band’s sound the same and I would think they have to be wondering why they are playing in front of 1000 people a night being headliners. Nobody is really breaking through to another level.
