I don’t know about you but this was an amazing time to be a Crüe fan. I was like 19 years old and it was such an awesome tour

It was great, but the Better Live Than Dead tour was better.

Was this the your with Buckcherry, Papa Roach, and Sixx AM? If so, I saw it. Pretty good. Nothing special.

No it wasn't that tour.

Last time they were really fun. They were never a great live band, but they were fun.

It's been a slow, downtuned, depressing march to the graveyard since.

I saw the first U.S. date of the Red, White & Crue tour, which was around the same time, and they were still sounding pretty good then.

I think that had to be around that time now that I think of it somewhere in that 04-06 time period

Great show, as said above really fun.
We gut stuck in traffic on the way there and missed Motörhead, as we got in the venue we the last of Ace of Spades.
They didn’t play To young to fall in love, which was my favourite song, but still, had a ball.

Carnival of Sins was the second leg of the N.A. tour, 2006 or so.

They did a DVD of the Better Live Than Dead tour, but called the DVD Carnival of Sins.

Ya, it was called the Red White and Crue tour but had a whole Carnival theme.
Concert was amazing. No opening bands...played about 25 songs, some deep cuts..Red Hot, Ten Seconds. Louder than Hell.. Kinda went through their entire history. They played about an hour 15 mins. took a break, then played another 1;15 or so.

I'd put it as one of the top 10 shows I have ever seen.

I think I've mentioned this before, but I saw this when they'd gotten to the C markets and played Columbia, S.C. Was a clusterfuck getting inside, because they didn't let people in from the concourse right away (not sure if soundcheck/stage prep was running late or what). Once we finally got in and got seated, they ended up reseating anyone in the upper deck to the lower bowl because the show didn't sell that well, so that was cool. Girls were occasionally flashing other people, and security didn't bat an eye, but the second someone lit up a cigarette, they got over there and told them to knock it off.

Motley came out and Vince was actually good...for like the first three songs. But in this case, I don't think it was his fault, because either in the middle of Red Hot or Ten Seconds to Love, someone threw a water bottle at the stage, and I saw the whole arc of the throw from where I was sitting, and it was one of those things that seemed like you were watching a car wreck in slow motion, because it just slowly tumbled in the air, like a water bottle would, and hit Vince in the head while he was singing, and it was like "OH NO THAT'S GOING RIGHT FOR HIM" and then BANG. He exits stage right, the band stops, and Tommy scolds the audience with "You don't fucking throw things at the band, man." They're gone for like 5 minutes, and then you see flashlights up front, and it's clear they're looking for whoever threw the bottle, and I think Nikki later on made reference to that they were going to find the guy and beat the shit out of him backstage, that part is a little fuzzy. Anyway, five more minutes later, and they come back out, but you could tell the damage was done, Vince looked like he'd take a bunch of shots backstage in the meantime, and he was sloppy Vince the rest of the show. Although, I will say that sloppy 2006 Vince was still a few notches above sloppy 2024 Vince.

Thankfully, the rest of the show was fantastic, with the staging and the dancers and screens, and probably the only drawback was the occasional pauses, which I assume were to give Mick a break between songs, because he was still really bad off at that point.

Of the 6 times I've seen them, this was definitely the highlight. It probably goes:

1) Carnival of Sins (Red, White and Crue)
2) The Final Tour*
3) Motley Crue vs. The Earth (Generation Swine)
4) 30th Anniversary tour (SOLA)
5) The Stadium Tour
6) Maximum Rock (New Tattoo)

That's the "Carnival of Sins" tour I saw too. I don't remember the "Red White and Crue" or "Better Live than Dead" tours. Or was it all the same tour just different legs?

Anyway...I saw them at the Garden and they killed it. Great show, great sound. No new album so it was all hits and some deeper cuts as you mentioned. After 10 years of trying to be different with the S/T album, Swine and Tommy's solo stuff... this was like the reunion of Motley just being Motley again.

I've seen them a bunch of times since then but I think they were the tightest during this tour.

I looked it up and the show i saw was one of the first of the last leg..and that was the Carnival of sins. Thing is, I don't remember it being called that...at all.
Regardless, it was about as good as they ever were on that tour

I saw them 1st leg early on and it was probably the best Motley show I ever witnessed.

I saw them a year later on the tail end of the tour and it was probably the worst Motley show I ever attended… until the stadium tour.

For the DVD, Mötley obviously hired models to be in the crowd to make it seem they were into them, I wonder if they hired really ugly women so they could show them while playing this song? It was pretty obvious that's what the director was going for.

Went to one of the shows on that tour and that was the first time i noticed them using backing tracks. I remember Vince noodling on acoustic guitar trying to play the intro to "Don't Go Away Mad" before giving up and letting the backing track play the opening riff.
