Krokus and Leppard in the same sentence makes me think of how Joe Elliott summed them up in Kerrang! Around 1987. "First they were ripping off Judas Priest, then Mötley Crüe and Bon Jovi and now it's us."

I would not agree with that.
Acdc early on, for sure

Trunk played a song from Storace's new album last Monday. I was only half listening but it actually sounded pretty good from what I recall. But again, I was only half listening so I could be talking out of my ass.

So why do they have the label of being a AC/DC clone then?

the album is pretty good.
I've always been a Krokus fan, so this wasn't a hard sell for me.

They did a bunch of albums before those. According to a friend who is a big Krokus fan - yes they exist - the first two are weird 70s prog and then the next few before Headhunter do sound like Bon era AC/DC. And Marc always sounded more like Bon than Halford or Vince Neil.

It's better than the first Storace record. Songs like Rock This City and Screaming Demon sound like as you would expect.

The first time I saw Krokus live was on the "Pyromania" tour.
Def Leppard/Krokus/Gary Moore at the Cap Centre in Largo, Maryland.

Because of One Vice At A Time.
But Joe knows nothing. Heart Attack sounds zero like Def Leppard.
