Three Sides of the Coin
Bad podcast. I’ve watched several episodes. Always the same. Topic sounds interesting. They bullshit for 30 minutes. Then the topic/guest start. They proceed to constantly talk over the guest. Interrupt.
They get low views on YouTube. Tons of episodes. Dedicated at least.

Re: Three Sides of the Coin
I've listened more than a few times. I do hate waiting through their nonsense before they actually get to the topic. Sometimes the topic is interesting, but its usually more of the same. I honestly think they have some of the worst audio on any podcast that has been going so long. It's like they have never listened and realized how poor the sound is.
Re: Three Sides of the Coin
Guys, THIS is the episode all the kids are talking about. Yes, I talk fast and no I don’t give them a chance to interrupt me.
10K clicks already. That’s a really good number for the show lately unless they have a really strong KISS-connected guest. I almost feel like Vinnie in ‘83

Re: Three Sides of the Coin
The production quality is shite and they talk over each other the whole time. I tried to listen a few years ago, and I was left wondering who’s in their houses to sweep up after ll the names they drop all episode.

Re: Three Sides of the Coin
I don't know, if you don't like it, don't listen, I guess?
I think part of the problem is that you guys say you watch the podcast. I don't get that. I wouldn't watch any podcast unless it was filled with clips and visuals. I listen in the car or when I'm out for a walk.
I've probably listened to 30 or 40 episodes. Some of the guests have been really good and some of the topics, like revealing how much Kiss made on the Marvel Comics contract, or about the remixes by that FranKENstein guy, were really interesting
I do recall, though, finding a 3 sides episode very off-putting.
An original Kiss roadie, Jr Smalling, was friendly with the show. So he was an older dude and after being basically pursued online by fans like the 3 sides guys he sort of became a part of the community. So he wrote a book. Kiss fans will buy almost anything about the band, so likely JR potentially stood to make maybe a couple grand. And I don't think he was a rich guy.
So the 3 sides guys have JR on to promote it. But they're not gracious. Anybody that goes on any media outlet to promote a book typically doesn't have to worry about a critical reception, but these aholes rip JRs book to shreds and make the guy defensive. Particularly Mark Cocini. I remember listening and thinking "what a f****** dick".
I wouldn't be surprised if JR was counting on that appearance to account for most of his sales.
I haven't read the book. But that guy was a friend of the show, cooperative and supportive. Those nerds should just let kiss fans decide for themselves instead of proactively dissuading them from checking it out. And even if it wasn't a good read, I think fans will typically see a book about kiss, with a short print run, as collectible. That's an angle Mark could have took instead of complaining "this is all stuff I know"
But in later episodes it feels like the guys are second-guessing their lifelong dedication to kiss as everyone's priorities change with age. Someone in there is probably thinking "I wasted my life over this".
Yeah probably

Multiple restraining orders against him.
They get SHIT views on YouTube. Glad they make nothing. Fuck Mike Brandvold
Having an opinion, of how you don't like their podcast is fine... all good.
But... when you use the guy's REAL name on my boards, and suggest he needs to be beaten, is hated in his community and has multiple restraining orders against him, well... you my friend have crossed the line.
May I ask... what did he ever do to you, for you to suggest he should be beaten, and the rest?
How would you like it if someone went out onto random message boards, under an alias, and started a similar thread about you - (With your REAL identity) - and took you to task that way?
Perhaps you don't care... well if not, good for you. But in this case, I do care about what you just wrote and it's not okay with me.
If you want to attack people this way, go do it elsewhere... and yes, Brandvold is a friend of mine, and I know more about him than you do, and you could not be further from the truth on all of this hateful sh!t you're saying here.
Curb your behavior and edit yourself accordingly.

That "old lady" is my wife..lol Lisa has fun when she's on there. She's 53 and still looks pretty damn good for her age. Of course I'm a little biased..BernieTaupson wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 5:42 pm Funniest one is that chump on the middle that says absolutely nothing ever. And then they bring in that old lady and Brandvold and Meatloaf dribble over her like twelve year old boys. Once every few years they’ll have a guest on that I want to listen to so I force myself to watch it and it’s douchechills the entire time.

She's great on the podcast.. I watch pretty often and she brings a different spin. She takes all the harassment in pretty good stride.Thrasherfan17 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 7:49 pmThat "old lady" is my wife..lol Lisa has fun when she's on there.
