Re: the advert - Chevelle? The same level as Halestorm & Bush, above Extreme & Everclear? I wouldn't have thought that.

I would question Halestorm being billed at the same level as Chevelle. Chevelle should be headlining this shit show.

The actual order of the bands is probably misleading. From the website:

Over 25 bands will light up 3 stages: 2 on the beach and 1 along the boardwalk.

The Struts are the wild card for me. I love the band but they don't seem to fit in with anyone!

I've seen new festivals in the U.S. come out of the gate with awesome lineups but the promoters lose their shirts and there isn't a year 2. Interested to see how this goes.

Ocean City?

Is it still that fucking sleazy, dilapidated boardwalk run by acid casualties?

If this was happening in my backyard I'd put my earbuds in and close the curtains

I guess Wes Scantlin is out of jail long enough to schedule a festival.

Wish more festivals would combine lineups like this. I love the lineup. No idea on the area which is always a concern if you travel

My hometown. Haven’t lived there in 20 years, but they’ve had quite a few rock/country/pop festivals on the beach in recent years.

Growing up, they did NOTHING big time. I think The Beach Boys (Kokomo era or later) on the beach was the biggest concert for 40 years, and they had decent local cover bands a couple local stars no one here would have heard of doing the bar/club circuit. Always had to drive 30 miles west to even do basic shopping and usually Balt/DC for any (non-beach resort niche) entertainment.

This spot is apparently a destination location for festivals in recent years.

There are an awful lot of festivals now for sure but seems like M3 is more niche with a dedicated fan base and you don't always have to camp / overspend on accommodations since it's near a major metropolis. Other than the Day 1 headliners. Who play all the time.
