The only thing Joe Lazarus had against him was his age. You stick a 30 year old up there along side a bunch of 66-68 year old guys and the frontline looks ancient. Another old geezer on drums and it’s not so apparent.
Never expected to see Dearly Beheaded mentioned on Sludge. I bought their demo cassette via a Kerrang! small ad and very good it was too. I watched the video. Nothing in it tells me he doesn't work cheap. A fine choice. But he will be working for peanuts compared to a name player.
