Singer looks almost as retarded with his moves as the polish guy from this board back from the days doing Smooth Up In Ya.
Song is at least ok.

Yeah that's pretty good, reminds me of something that I can't quite remember, Bang Gang perhaps?
Better than the Struts anyway.

Great stuff! I think there’s a market for it. Thanks for sharing this.

Whose heads are they turning? Less than 5000 views….in 2 days on YouTube.
There’s probably a guy eating expired cans of food getting more views in an hour.
Singer does look a little like the CEO, with a pinch of Down’s.

Sounds like something 13 year old would write as ”my first rock song”.
Nothing wrong being an amateur band, the most important is to have fun. But this is pure amateur stuff.
An even if it would be a bit better executed, the whole band has 0% originality. So I don’t see what would be the appeal.

Agree...
Guitarist has some great Bluesy riffs and playing here... and the singer kid has got some pipes!
I've watched a bunch of clips of him singing with his guitarist, acoustic in the living room, and he has some flow and feel to his voice!

Nah. I am not a hater. I think that first of all the most important thing is always that the band / artist enjoys what they are doing. And if somebody else likes it too, that’s a plus. It seems these guys are having fun, so that’s cool.MetalSludgeCEO wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 9:31 amExcellent... we have hater in the house... welcome!endstand wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 12:28 pm Sounds like something 13 year old would write as ”my first rock song”.

However, from the musical perspective they sound like amateurs, not a professional group. Also the production sound like a demo. The whole genre is a one big cliche, so you actually have to be really good and have at least some originality to stick out.
No matter what the genre is, millions of TikTok or YouTube views are a nice way to get some attention. However, if the content is not there, nobody will want to listen to you.

No way! The Struts are awesome. I'm sure you're talking about the Could've Been Me video. It's one of their best songs but I'll admit the video is trying too hard. Check out some other songs by them.Whatever Happened To… wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 5:46 am Yeah that's pretty good, reminds me of something that I can't quite remember, Bang Gang perhaps?

As for this new band... def trying too hard! But I liked it. Good bluesy fun. If they were playing in a bar, I'd stick around and say hello afterwards. It almost seems like a parody though with all the 80's rock posters and books around and the one dude constantly smoking.
"You want Don Juan DeMarco, the world's greatest lover, to talk to you? What do you know of great love?"

Song isn't that bad. But they were trying a little to hard in the video with all the clichés smoking...check, chugging beer...check, drinking Jack Daniels...Check, doing shots.. check. All that was missing was strippers. But again, I don't mind the song at all.
Re: ALL NEW GENERATION … Stolen Prayer and frontman C.C. Knix are turning heads with their new video “Move On You”
if someone says anything negative about them at our age, we are the "get off my lawn, old men"...but just like Paul Stanley once said with his songs, he didn't invent the wheel. I will add that the video is cool but most of us already saw that type of stuff 40+ years ago in circus magazines and first run music videos on Mtv and its now a retreaded gimmick. also, I believe the slide it in chorus riff is borrowed and in there but who cares.
but, maybe they are on to something. I was in the grocery store the other night and this kid about 14 years old had Joey Ramone glasses on. The jacket he had on had Elvira and motley crue and other band photos from the 80's on it. He pulled his jacket up over his head in the check out line and hit a vape pen like he was doing something cool. (Like we used to do). he walked outside like one of the cool kids and was quoting fat bastard from Austin powers. He was straight out of the mall 1985.
I wish them much success. they have youth and a hunger on their side. go for it and don't take no for an answer.

MOST IMPORTANTLY MISSING THE STRIPPERS !!!! If your going to pay tribute to the 80’s glam. Get it some tits and ass in there. Those views will go way up.Nobodyspecial wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 5:07 am Song isn't that bad. Not bad/pretty good.
Certainly, the world is better with them in it than without. That’s something.
