This story has been going on for weeks and no sign of it going away. Airfields have been temporarily shut down. Some of these drones are estimated to be the size of cars.

No one knows where they take off and land.
No one knows who and why they're doing this.

Even if this is a prank, the fact that someone was able to do this and no one knows anything about them is scary.

Will they just disappear without any answers?

Senators are demanding answers, Trump wants them shot down.

A startling map of just one New Jersey county captures the scope of the drone mystery that’s been plaguing the Garden State’s skies for weeks.

Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden released a heatmap of reported drone sightings from just the past few days alone — covering a chunk of the central Jersey county’s nearly 700 square miles.

Brighter spots on the map denote more reporting, with the inland area around Whittier Oaks, the northern coast along the Sandy Hook Bay, and the southeastern coast off Manasquan Beach showing the highest incidents. Central Monmouth, around Freehold, also has a higher number of reports.

Here's tracking from a US Senator with local police who have zero knowledge of anything. In one post, he does mention being told of Homeland Security developing new technology a while back, however, wasn't provided any further details, so that's what I am going with. Testing new military shit. And of course Trump is like, "shoot them down!"

My best guess (which is completely uneducated) is that these drones are US Military, developed and deployed to combat and repel enemy drones attempting incursions into US airspace to cause disruptions to commercial flights and/or domestic defence.

Otherwise, this shit would have been shot the fuck down long ago.

I'm in NJ and a bunch of my friends are seeing them. Voted Spaceman. No one else seems to have answers. My "theory" is some developer is surveying to put up some more bullshit luxury condos in the middle of nowhere that will cost $4K per month

This. These idiots don’t realize the military is testing out civil detection. We have an actual ex-US President proclaiming, “Shoot ‘em down and nuke the hurricanes!”

Believe me, and I’m shocked an ex-US President doesn’t even realize this, as well - The full force of the greatest air power in the history of the world would be patrolling every inch of the skies in every single state, and all commercial flights would be instantly grounded to a halt if there was even a minutiae of a foreign threat. This is no slow moving weather balloon from China.

Even if there was/is something legit to be concerned about, its impossible to tell through the haze of absolute ignorant hysteria at this point.

One question, though. Why a military test over a populated city knowing peeps would speculate, AND continue doing it? Why that particular area?

ALSO, not being all conspirator. I live near Patrick Space Force Base, which doesn't have a fighter wing, however there's been two F-15's parked there the last few weeks. I drive by twice a day and there's been no maintenance, training, etc....I think that they're there for tactical reasons. As the Military wants someone, somewhere to know that there are two fighter jets at at the ready at this particular base. Why?

Shooting at any aircraft in the sky is against federal law, plus whatever individual state laws that apply. Even if it's over your property, the air is not yours.

Have been multiple sightings in my area of South Jersey. Homeland security is saying 'no threat' and that we are misidentifying manned aircraft as drones, and our president is saying to shoot them out of the sky. Way to calm the anxious people down folks.
