W.A.S.P tonight in Hollywood!

Who's going? The last time I saw W.A.S.P in concert was on 1/28/1989 as part of the Party Ninjas benefit show at Santa Monica Civic. But this will be my first time seeing them with the full show. I'm a huge fan of the first album and I have vivid memories of having my mom buy me the cassette tape from Target. I never heard a note of music, but that album cover was so bad ass I knew it would be great.

Well, if it was live back then you may be in for a surprise. And also not, the antics inbetween songs are still the same.

Let me know if there are any W.A.S.P/M.A.G.A co-branded hats for sale, and if they drop some cool TARRIFS2025 banners during Blind In Texas!

Aerosmith has cd I never bought”just push play” is that what band did all night?
Stage show was cool enough
I enjoyed Back To The Future musical 100x better few weeks ago-that was epic..just street away from Wasp venue
Stripper pussy after was good- just not the level of happiness Saturday Nights Main Event brought me. The old school feel was outstanding- watched opening around 100xs yesterday
The entrances made everyone seem like the Gods they are
You could tell Blackie watched the event before his stage time start- he seemed overjoyed Drew beat that loser from Canada

I believe that was my first time seeing WASP live as well.
Oh, wait.
I saw them at the Palace in 1996 and 1997. I believe Impotent Sea Snakes did 1996 show.
Not sure what this mystery 1998 version you're talking about is.
Also saw Key Club one.

I ran away from Fresno in March 1997
Settled in a town called Rancho Cucamonga
Got LA Weekly at book store for 1$ or so
Saw badass ad for the show
Went to show -Impotent Sea Snakes band guy jumped into the crowd during the set. After some douche bag called him a nasty word
It was that moment I knew what I wanted to do with my life-
Watch female lifeguards in my beach chair and become Hollywood vampire
Getting on Club Vodka list was always one best moments in my life- that was truly living the LA dream

The '96 Palace show (the one I saw, anyway) was with Motorhead. It was during F Fest, which was what Foundations Forum changed their name to for their final two years.

The next night's show at the same venue was one of the strangest bills I've seen -- L.A. Guns (Van Dahl), Warrant and Body Count.

This is a conundrum.
Setlsit.fm has Motorhead opening the 1997 Palace show, and that seems right to me.
the 1996 F Fest one i remember not being a "double bill", that one I think it is the Impotent Sea Snake one.
Though your link does show Motorhead. I remember telling my friend WASP was playing, and he was a huge Motorhead fan, there's no way I would not have mentioned them. Could they have done a different night?

W.A.S.P./Motorhead was definitely the same night at the Palace in October '96. I'll try to dig up my ticket stub.

Just had pancake breakfast sandwich at beach cafe
Used some brain power
Was the tour at The Palace I saw Wasp/Motörhead/Impotent Sea Snakes?
It was early in show not many early for Impotent Sea Snakes..the attacked happened. After the set I went to merch both bought signed cd and shirt-told the singer he was awesome loved his look- probably mentioned i just moved to LA. Might have told him I moved to train to be pro wrestler and would like to have his image. I remember I forgot the Impotent Sea Snakes shirt I bought at the De Ja Vu in Ontario around 1999 or so
I think Motorhead could have been on stage then even then I knew Motorhead was waste of time
I was pumped to see Wasp- what incredible life I had coming

I believe Motorhead played F Fest show at Palace (one off) and were supposed to do whole tour in 1997 but Blackie and Lemmy didn't get along and it only lasted a few dates with Motorhead being off tour by the time it hit LA.

That sounds right. I remember when Lemmy left the tour he said "Maybe instead of WASP, they should be called the Bumble Bees."

Impotent Sea Snakes played "People Who Died". I thought they had a pretty kickass little tune there.... had never watched Basketball Diaries by then.

Haven't gone dumpster-diving for my ticket stub yet, but here's this for now:
https://www.chmetal.info/modules/record ... etails=265 = W.A.S.P.
https://www.chmetal.info/modules/record ... ails=13093 = Motorhead
Motorhead also apparently played the Viper Room the night before (
https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/motorhea ... bff84.html).
28 years later, the only thing I remember about the Palace show is the scantily-clad hooded babe that was strapped up crucifixion-style at the end of W.A.S.P.'s set. It was also cool hearing Blackie sing "Chainsaw Charlie" directly across the street from Capitol Records, who the song's venom was directed toward.

Yeah, that hooded babe was cool. If I remember right, she had her titties out (or taped with electrical tape) and had tubes sticking in her with blood pumping in or out. I heard a rumor that day that Holmes was back in the band, and it turned out to be true! I thought they did Kill Your Pretty Face or something as a preview to KFD, and I thought it sounded kick ass.... and your link confirms this! (The Horror as well)

Found my ticket stub! It only says generic F Fest stuff on it, though, but I wrote the lineup on the back - Supersuckers (who I have no memory of seeing), Motörhead and W.A.S.P. Hell of a show for $10!
