I remember Phil Anselmo doing the convention thing and it worked for him. He's a huge Horror fan and did a Q and A about it. What's Blotz's gimmick? Will he just sit at a table and sign things?

Depends on the event. They have a couple cons in my area every year and they usually have panels where the celebrity guests will talk or do a presentation, then answer some questions from the crowd, but not all guests go panels. A lot just sit at a table and sign stuff and take selfies with a fan for $20 to $100 + and a lot of them also do more expensive professional photos.

Thanks to a friend who puts on smaller shows and works the larger ones, I have been to a handful over the last 20 years or so and it can be kind of sad to see some of the less popular ones sit at a table for three days with virtually nobody stopping. It can also be awkward if you accidentally make eye contact with one of them... I could see Blotzer sitting by himself with his arms crossed for hours on end.

I've been to some Star Trek/SciFi/Horror conventions. It is sad sometimes to see the B-Actors at the tables. Some actors in franchises can clean up if they're in one famous movie. They just can't overdo it and go to too many because most of the fans will already have their signature.
