Sitting around with a bottle of Maker's Mark trying to mentally prepare myself for the dreaded family meet & greet tomorrow. Currently watching classical guitar videos on YT, might throw on Life of Brian later like I do every Christmas Eve. Cheers fuckers!

Vodka and B movies.

Just me and my girlfriend at home tonight. I just finished wrapping her presents (aka putting them in gift bags) while listening to The Heavy Eyes. She's wrapping mine now. In an hour or so we're going to have a couple drinks and take turns playing songs we love. We've been doing it for a few years now so some of the surprise has worn off but we both love music and while there's a pretty good overlap of our tastes, there's still plenty of stuff that one or the other of us isn't familiar with. Tomorrow we're doing the present thing in the morning and her aunt is coming over in the afternoon for lasagna and somewhere between tonight and tomorrow we're probably going to watch Grosse Point Blank, which she hasn't seen.

All that being said, I want to say Happy Holidays to everyone. I just realized I've been a member of this place for 25 years and while I can't quite wrap my head around that fact, I'm sure glad this place exists. All my best to all of you crazy fuckers.

Watching WWE NXT and preparing for the proverbial Santa arrival and gift-opening with family tomorrow. Merry Christmas, Sludgers!

Xmas Eve:
Spent the night at relatives' an hour outside of Paris. Drank a few whisky 'n' cokes + dinner (yummy steaks with seared foie gras on top) accompanied by red wine and a yummy digestif from southern France...
Xmas:
Not sure what we're having for lunch, but smells from the kitchen are quite pleasant.

I had oatmeal and an open container of borrowed water … THAT’S IT!

I wore a button down shirt that looks like a table cloth and 40 year old pants I found in a trash bag in an old tin shed where the rat turds are as big as rabbit shit.

True story.

Met up with some friends at the bar for some early afternoon beers, went to dinner with the folks at a nice steak joint in town, came home and went to bed. Breakfast at the folks' place in a bit and then a family thing + more beers at my aunt/uncles later. Despite what all that sounds like, its super low key. Dont know who will even show up. Back to the normal grind tomorrow.
