I just stumbled onto this LIVE version of "Ah Leah" by Donnie Iris from Oct. 2024 in Pittsburgh!
I knew he was old, but wasn't sure of his exact age... he's 81, bday in Feb. so on the door of 82.
He sounds absolutely killer... those screams are no joke... respect!

Fun Fact: Donnie Iris was "kind of" my first rock concert but, I wasn't old enough to get in, so I was in the parking-lot listening.
He played at a bar called "Doctor J's" near the College (UWO) in Oshkosh. I was probably 17, so guessing 1983. His song "Love Is Like A Rock" was a hit at the time, and I went down there with a few buddies, and we weren't old enough to get in, nor did we have the money (guessing it was probably $5.00 to get in, lol) so we stood in the parking lot and listened to the show.
It was one of the first times that I had that feeling of, "Wow"... as he was on the radio, and now he's playing in my home town, right near where I would hang out with my friends. etc... I felt like it was kind of a big deal that this famous band was right there. Now... it's 40+ years later... crazy to think!
