He just posted a video to Facebook and Instagram with the message "Resurrecting the Dream" and "A New Chapter Rises 2025." Van Williams looks to be involved. No word on Sheppard or who will sing.
CEO? Is it you?

Jeff rules... great guy... and I was stoked to watch him grow from a pre-teen shredder in Wisconsin, to a world-class player!

curious as to how this collaboration took place, and does Loomis have a favorable opinion of the Hair Metal genre?

Jeff is from Menasha Wisconsin, a smaller town than Oshkosh, which is about 15 minutes from where I grew up!
Jeff would come to watch me rehearse with my local band in 1985/86 before I moved to L.A..
He would come to hang around, and he was like 14 years old and already ripping!
We let him jam with us doing stuff like "Yankee Rose", "Shy Boy", and Dokken and he'd KILL it.
He was already turning heads as a young teen, and Won Wisconsin's Guitar Wars contest at 16.
He also came to Hollywood at 16 to audition for Megadeth, in 1987/88, but they did NOT know his age until he arrived.
I have talked about this on here before... he called me and said; "Hey, I am in Hollywood. I am going to audition for Megadeth"
And I immediately said; "Jeff. You're like in 10th grade... WTF are you talking about?" Lol. True story. Google it!
We've remained friends the entire way... Jeff is the REAL deal!

damn, I had no idea.
the fact that he hasn't forgotten his roots is commendable.

Yup!
So... when we did the "WCAGA- Again" record in 2011/2012, I told Chase I wanted to have guest guitarists and guest back-ground singers.
Which we did... and I reached out to all kinds of people... and pretty much everyone agreed to do it.
Solos by George Lynch, Jeff Loomis, Steve Brown, Howie Simon, Keri Kelli, and Michael Raphael. Also had Pearcy, Jaime St. James and Lizzy DeVine do some backgrounds too!
Good stuff... good people... great friends!

not sure how any of this works, but I'm assuming there was some fee involved for his appearance?
did his label (if he was signed to one at the time) dictate that, or was it a "we're buddies so just pay me whatever" type of deal?

You would be assuming, wrong.
Not a penny was given to anyone!
Everyone did me the favor... and guess what... when they need a favor from me, it's done!

One of my all time favorite bands, looking forward to this. Can't wait to find out who the vocalist will be.

Awesome news! People always associate Seattle with grunge music, but stuff like this is what I associate Seattle with personally.
