Why don’t we talk about Tangier enough?
Damn “You’re Not the Lovin Kind” is ripping on my AirPods right now!

That sounds like a ripoff/mashup of "Fallin' Apart At The Seams" and "Gypsy Road".MattleyCrue wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 4:55 pm Damn “You’re Not the Lovin Kind” is ripping on my AirPods right now!
Same! From what I've heard, the original vocalist, Bill Mattson, was forced out because he was much older than the rest of the band and they brought in Mike LeCompt for the "Stranded" album in an attempt to be more commercial.Wild Obsession wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 8:23 pm Both albums are solid, but I think actually prefer the 2nd "Stranded".
And Shark Island, Little Caesar, and Junkyard. We probably read about them in the same mag.DemonFilth2001 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 9:59 am I think I owned the debut. Bought this and Tora Tora around the same time. Neither was bad. Neither was good.
Honestly almost sounds like Little Caesar singercowpins wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 2:38 pmAnd Shark Island, Little Caesar, and Junkyard. For my ears, that was a mistake.jhenders wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 1:21 pmSame! I have every one of those debuts in my collection. All pretty good, but if I had to choose the best one, I’d say Shark Island or Junkyard. SI’s “Paris Calling”, Junkyard’s “Hollywood” and “Simple Man”, and Tora Tora’s “Walkin’ Shoes” are all great hair tunes, anyway.DemonFilth2001 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 6:30 pmYep! All solid bands, and adding Havana Black to the mix. Mattley, did you get into Havanna Black from Finland?dmbrocker wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 7:41 pmI have every one of those debuts in my collection. Don’t really like Havana Black. That band reminds me of Thundercowpins wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 4:08 amAll solid bands, and adding Havana Black to the mix. Its Garry Nutt, 2 R's and 2 T's. I guess he was trying to pull a Nikki Sixx.
Good band, there's a book about them to be released here in February.cowpins wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 4:08 amAll solid bands, and adding Havana Black to the mix.
