This will unfortunately be the year when someone from Sabbath dies. Most likely Ozzy or Bill.
Probably also some actor or politician that most people think died ten years ago.
And I wouldn't feel too safe being Putin or Assad now.

If you asked a week ago I would have Mikkey Dee on the list but apparently he is now home and recovering from sepsis after three weeks (!!) in hospital and multiple surgeries.

If you'd written Jimmy Carr I'd have been happy. Probably most on this board don't know who he is, but he's a reasonably famous "comedian" in Britain - quote marks because I generally find him tediously unfunny. He's almost equally famous for tax-dodging then getting caught.
A couple of my names have already gone (Clint and Mel) so I'll add:
David Attenborough
Christopher Plummer
Bill Clinton
wildcard - Steve Jones (Sex Pistols)

Let it be Bert Miracles, that guy's a dick. Let Poison replace him with Ripper Owens and lets get some touring going THIS year!Brainy Lane wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 8:49 am And I have a bad feeling about the members of Poison…I don’t think we’re ever going to get that reunion tour.

Ripper? Not sure if you're joking but that hack is out of his league if he's not singing covers in a bar.Psychobolia.com wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 11:05 amLet it be Bert Miracles, that guy's a dick. Totally joking, but a hack? He could tone it down ten notches and pull off with flying colours. Yngwie/Priest/Iced Earth don't hire no bar-band dude unless he delivers the goods.Love_Industry wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 12:23 pmRipper? That Jimmy Carr joke about Pete Davidson's Dad (who was a firefighter who died on 9/11) was the greatest roast joke of all time. And I'm not a huge roast humor guyGoodJudge wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 5:48 amIf you'd written Jimmy Carr I'd have been happy. Whilst Davidson was sat listening on the panel, Carr joked: "I'm appalled that people would come here and make jokes about the sacrifice Pete's heroic father made on 9/11.
"This is not the roast of Pete Davidson's father."
"That was in 2001."
I don't know much about the rest of his work, but that joke was great. (He had Pete's permission to say it.)

Donny and Marie's brother Wayne of the Osmonds at 73. Looks like he's the first notable passing of '25:

Of course he could pull off the Poison songs, he does have the vocal range even for Priest and Yngwie.Psychobolia.com wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 1:02 pmTotally joking, but a hack? I still think he is a hack because he doesn't know what to do with his voice or on stage.
He has improved a bit, but in Priest he sounded and acted like a bar band guy trying to be Halford. Extremely uncool.
Todd LaTorre is another replacement frontman who seems to think he is in front of his bedroom mirror and not on stage in front of an audience.
