He penned a song about aids that another group that slips my mind now too, had a hit in the 80s too. I remember diggin into his music 5 or 7 years ago and I stole a lot of ideas from him -hes not well known, who is gonna now, right

James Hetfield, Jerry Cantrell, and Axl are definitely up there for me. For whatever reason I’ve always been a huge Pantera fan but only recently saw a bunch of Phil Anselmo’s lyrics on paper and many of them are surprisingly excellent.
