Just for the four run album from lovedrive to love at first sting they get a thumbs up from me.

Thumbs up, but only through Blackout, which is a pretty decent run. Can't stand the Winds of Change ballady crap.

Come on! How could anybody not like (the) Scorpions? In their prime they were probably the best live band around. Watch their performance at Dortmund in '83 (the single greatest concert lineup of bands ever). They were great. Matthias (sp?) is one of the most underrated guitarists around. World Wide Live is easily one of the top live albums of all time. A lot of people say Tokyo Tapes is even better, but I am not as familiar with the Uli Roth stuff.

Not going to argue, but Judas Priest kicked their and everyone else's ass at Dortmund. THEY were the best live band in metal 83-88, and most of the time before that. Their only problem earlier was that Halford was inconsistent while on DOTF, Turbo and Ram It Down he nailed it on every bootleg I've heard.

This. Very tasty solos that fit the songs perfectly. His solos in Scorpions fit better than Schenker's. Uli's solos were awesome too, but different.

Scorpions have one of the best complete catalogues.

Thumbs up, I actually bought the most recent one, "Rock Believer". While it's not Blackout, it's still the Scorpions so therefore, it's solid.

I highly doubt that. Scorpions were literally one of, if not the best live band of the genre

The only bands I can think of who were as good or better are Iron Maiden, Metallica (RIP 1983-1989) and maybe AC/DC

As much as I love or loved Van Halen, Def Leppard, Ozzy, KISS, Queensryche, and Skid Row, From the times I saw them they were never good enough to carry the Scorpions water, as good as some of them were at times.

When it comes to borderline parody bands like Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Poison, GNR and Warrant forget about it.

Priest had some great stuff but they never came close at the US Fest. No one did. Scorpions absolutely slayed all their competition that day.

Van Halen fans will probably try to tell you different. But they are as delusional as their favorite drunk frontman.

All great bands, but only Metallica were obviously better than Priest live and I didn't see them until after 88. That doesn't mean in any way that Maiden and Scorps weren't good but you're comparing with the very best in the genre now, except Sabbath who were great live even at their low point.

Scorpions sucked when I saw them in 99 and Priest are a completely different band live without KK and now Glenn but that doesn't change how good they were in the 80s. Maiden and Metallica held up much better live....

I never saw Scorpions in the late 90s. In fairness, it was 1999.

I saw them in the 80s and then again in the 2000s and 2010s. They always killed it. One of if not the best 80s bands I ever saw

I never loved KK. Rob, as influential as he is, was never my favorite. I was a fan but never a diehard. I always was a much bigger Scorpions fan.

Sabbath got pretty bad. Tony Martin was way better than Blaze but I was never a fan

Ray was a loser. Broke my heart. I was a massive fan of his and Badlands.

Thumbs up. Scorps are German hard rock legends, and Lovedrive through Crazy World is as good an 80’s rock run as any other band from the era.

I like most of their singles that were played on Rock radio. Their 70s stuff didn't do much for me.

Thumbs up. I think the Scorps get kind of overlooked among Priest, Maiden, Ozzy/Sab, etc.

Is it because they never had to reunite? They never had that big tour with the "classic singer" because Klaus never left.
