What is your favorite Dokken album post Dysfunctional? I got into their non Lynch stuff last year (due to song recommendations from here). Now…what entire album is your favorite?

I didn't vote. Dokken is one of my favorite 80s bands, but I can honestly say that everything after Dysfunctional sucks.
There's maybe a handful of good songs across all those albums. Maybe.

Lighting Strikes Again and Heaven Comes Down are both surprisingly solid IMHO.

Erase the slate. Reb beach smokes on this. Give it a listen.

"Dysfunctional" was AWESOME, btw.
I'd go with "Erase The Slate" here, as was mentioned earlier, Reb Beach kicked some ass.

I can't remember any songs from those albums. Don't feel like trying to listen to them. I'll abstain from the vote.

I can admit to not listening to any of these albums. I guess when George left I left too. What album should I check out first? Or are there any clips on TikTok to sample? Assuming TikTok is still a thing? Trump and MAGA's wanted it GONE, and a bipartisan law made it go away. The supreme court didn't even save it. But now one Tweet from Trump and now it's back. Why? Oh, and the owners, as well as all of the other filthy rich social media owners, will be at his inauguration. Not one thing to make the price of eggs go down, but at least we'll be able to bitch about Biden causing it on TikTok!

Lightning Strikes Again, Heaven Comes Down, Broken Bones are all very good melodic hard rock albums, and Long Way Home is also good especially for excellent bonus tracks(Dancing and Only Heaven Knows). Dokken's later day albums are far superior to those from their '80s peers, it's your loss if you didn't give them a chance.

Could you list some of your personal favorite songs from each album? I like Dokken in general but can't get into any of these albums. Even Erase the Slate. I love Reb but I think I only like the title track on that record!

Shadowlife and Erase The Slate are the only two from those choices I have heard. I can't really vote for that reason. I was so bummed out when I first heard Shadowlife! I really liked Dysfunctional and Dokken has always been one of my very favorite bands so I was pumped that they were back together again and had just released a strong album. The Sky was the limit man...and then I heard Convenience Store Messiah as well as the rest of the album. I was honestly astonished at what i was hearing. I mean even if you don't like them, there is a ton of talent in that band. Yet, this was what they released to the world? Now that I think about it, that was the year I started doing harder drugs. Subconsciously I guarantee that was a factor.
They were cool to watch with Reb live. He did justice to the Lynch material, but the originals they came up with weren't my favorites.

that was actually one of the better tracks on the album.
"Sky Beneath My Feet" and the Pilson-on-vocals "Here I Stand" were decent as well.
