Both bands debut albums were them at their most metal. And then they both went in a more bluesy direction. But which band do you prefer?

Great White debut kicks much ass...
No trannies in their water.

Both great, but Cinderella had the better multi-album run, so Keifer and Co. win this one for me. Plus, GW never wrote a cool hot dog jingle, so that alone puts Cinderella in another league.

I like them both, but all 4 Cinderella albums are solid, Great White is "hit or miss"......

This is a tough one but early Great White has such a place in my heart it gets the vote.
Honestly a little surprised that Cinderella is running away with this, but they both rule.

I didn't realize Cinderella had 4 releases. I voted Cinderella on Night Songs alone though. Jack Russell was a way better singer overall, but I just listened to Night Songs more and find it to be better than Great White. I was out after Night Songs though. Don't Know What You Got is horrible.

This is hard to choose. GW has some songs I like more than Cinderella, but Cinderella is better in general. GW were meh when I saw them live though.

I'll admit I haven't heard much GW, but what I did hear didn't make me want to try more. You could say I was once bitten, twice shy. Cinderella FTW.

Tom's voice is such an acquired taste. I think Jack was the better singer. But Cinderella's songs were like classic rock where Great White was just straight up bar band blues rock. They had some great ballads though.
Cinderella for the win but it's not a landslide.

Was never a big fan of Great White even though I hear they do a good Zeppelin (my favorite). Cinderella, on the other hand, I listen to kind of frequently. So, Cinderella.

Cinderella's probably my favorite B-list hair rock band.
I don't know if there's anything I like about Great White, other than Jack Russell's bonkers-ass drug stories.

In the 80’s I would have said Cinderella, but I gained more appreciation for Great White as time went along , so would vote for them nowadays.
Even after the split , I saw Jack’s GW with a former Fight guitarist in his band , and they nailed it .
RIP JR , such a great unique voice .

Not even their cover of substitute?

I didn't even know it existed.
I'm hearing it in my head and I don't like it. I don't even need to verify.

(I lied, I'm listening to it now.)
Have I heard this before? I feel like I would remember this.
Because this is somehow worse than I thought it would be.

Maybe there is a reason why face the day became more popular for them.
I have to admit I do actually like their version of substitute. But it is such a brilliant song I don't think anyway could mess it up

Been listening to Cinderella quite a bit recently, the songs have aged well and the albums still sound good.
Great White are a band I was never inspired to listen to, heard them a lot at rock clubs BITD but never once thought about buying or playing anything by them.

Their cover of Babe I'm Gonna Leave You trumps the original.

That is actually probably true as hard as it is to believe.
I always thought Mark Kendall didn't get enough recognition. I like a lot of his playing. He's not far behind, say...Slash, but I don't think I've ever seen an interview in a guitar magazine with Mark. Also, Jack did have an amazing voice.

GW fist album & night songs are about equal.
But GW has more good songs after that.
“Electric Love” is really the only great song on ‘heartbreak station’
Great White wins

Yeah, he wasn't shredder-flashy enough to catch on as a guitar god in the 80s, and didn't have the image+megastardom that worked for Slash.
