I love Haircut 100. This lineup is awesome. The Tubes were my very first concert at Six Flags. My parents still don't know I went to this day.tooth wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 11:28 am I'm going. Here's the lineup for my show, but I see it's already changed. Weren't "A Flock of Seagulls" supposed to be on this? I went to this last year & it's a pretty cool take, if you like the bands, of course.
Right Said Fred
Men Without Hats
Haircut 100
The Tubes
The Motels
Animotion
The Escape Club
Musical Youth
I saw them last year as part of a different new wave/classic alternative package tour with ABC and Howard Jones and they were surprisingly good, but they only played 6 songs.
I too am fired up for Haircut 100, who will probably play the same 6 songs. I'm going to ABC and Howard Jones, as well.woblinweebles wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 3:08 pmI saw them last year as part of a different new wave/classic alternative package tour with ABC and Howard Jones and they were surprisingly good, but they only played 6 songs.
Haircut 100 just posted on their Instagram page that they will not be able to make the tour as they will be in the studio at that time. There's an market for new Haircut 100 songs??? (And yes, I realise I'm asking this on a hair metal message board).John Shaft wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 9:07 amHaircut 100 just posted on their Instagram page that they will not be able to make the tour as they will be in the studio at that time. LOL, and I realize that I'm answering this on a Hair Metal board, they released their first new music in 40+ years a few months back with a single called "The Unloving Plum" and it's GREAT!! Pure pop bliss!!GoodJudge wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 10:19 amThere's an market for new Haircut 100 songs??? Just playing the hits plus 1 or 2 "deep" cuts the higher you go on the bill.BernieTaupson wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 11:10 am Seven bands, with about two hits combined from all of them. Are they just going to play those or do they come out and go through the motions of playing a full set each?
I guess the rhythm section couldn’t get the time off work….tough break.John Shaft wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 9:07 amHaircut 100 just posted on their Instagram page that they will not be able to make the tour as they will be in the studio at that time. Same here. I stumble across something and think, "you know, that is a pretty good song", and then look at the artists name and say, "Culture Club? WTF"?greengoblinrulz wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 1:12 pm As Ive aged, Ive really been a sucker for 80s/90s pop music. Dont own any albums or tried to listen, as I only know the hits, but I love listening to them now.
Never gone to one of these, but absolutely would if the right combo of acts were on it
